Now we can get political. Engineers come here from India, because they are willing to work for a fraction of what US workers will do the job for, not because there are no engineers here.

U probably right about dat...but dey have da best engineers on da planet and best educated..is what i am told .. If i have computer issues i get a tech in India to log inta my computers and zippo probllem always fixed. Da guys at at&t are clueless here /SIZE]

I know this is where you come back with what a savvy world traveler you are, but again.....you are full of shit. "Most people" in other countries do NOT speak English. Simply for the fact that they don't need to.

Movies and media give you the perception that "everyone" speaks English.

For fuck's sake, look at the millions of Mexicans in this country who don't speak 5 words of it! Why on Earth would people who never NEED to speak it, know it? Just as a matter of course? That's incredibly naive.

All of my relatives in Spain less than 50 speak functional English. All of their friends do, too. Part of the curriculum in grade and high school.

My house cleaner is from nicaragua, she speaks functional English, though not near as well as my cousins. My nanny is from El salvador, and she speaks English pretty well. My landscapers crew are honduran, all get by on their broken english. Maybe that's a New Orleans thing, because Ive been told in south Florida this is not the case.

Americans are the ones that can't speak any language but their own and not even that very well....they make no atempt to speak the native tongue of the country they are visiting not even hello and good by.. Contrast that to the rest of the world where almost every one speaks English and it's required to get out of school...

IF YOU GET AN EDUCATION IN MOST COUNTRIES I KNOW OF YOU MUST SPEAK ENGLISH 60,000 INDIAN ENGIINERS COME TO THIS COUNTRY BECAUSE WE DONT PRODUCE ENOUGH THEY ALL SPEAK ENGLISH THE MEXICAN EXAMPLE I WD QUESTION I SPENT 9 WINTERS IN MEXICO ...... ALL OVER MEXICO AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM DROVE UP AND DOWN PAN AMERICAN HY IN REMOTE AREAS IN THE MOUNTAINS SOME ONE ALWAYS SPOKE ENGLISH I DON'T KNOW OF ONE HERE IN US THAT DOESNT SPEAK AT LEAST RUDIMENTARY ENGLISH....... PERHAPS IN FARM LABOR . THAT ATTRACTS THE POOREST OF THE POOR.U MAY BE CORRECT....

Here's the real $64,000 question:

How come you post in here, and everything is legible, but you don't post a goddamned thing in the handicapping forums that can be understood by anyone?

I find that very interesting.
