Not sure if that is true or not. Colvin is a 5 star recruit and Germany is 3star recruit. USC is not in desperate need of either but def. wants both of them. You might not know this but USC recruited 5 DL last year who all ranked ahead of Germany. So not big loss if true. USC top 3 WR choices were DAVIS, JARRET, then Colvin. USC already got Davis and hoping to get the other 2 as well (not likely). I really want Jarret even though Colvin is 5stars and Jarret is 4stars. For some reason I think Colvin goes to Oregon. Also, there been ZERO reports on Colvin or Germany going to Michigan or eliminating USC and these are from INSIDERS. These are the same guys that told me Davis coming to USC before anyone.
Here is article on Colvin.
Recruiting: Cameron Colvin update...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(from The Insiders Michigan site)...
"Regarding wide receiver Cameron Colvin (Sept. 13 official visit, STAN Nike stats: 6-1, 188 lbs., 4.31 in the 40, 3.85 shuttle, 32.4 inch vertical, 13 bench press reps. ? 2.4 GPA/1035 SAT) from Concord, Calif., De La Salle.
Colvin had his in-home visit with Coach Carr this past Thursday night. As Cameron and his godfather told us afterward (Colvin post-U-M Visit Interview), the visit went extremely well -- and U-M-hopes rose for him. However, he had the USC Head Coach in his home Saturday afternoon (Colvin post-USC Visit Interview), and now things are dead even, between U-M and USC, for Cameron. He also seems to be staying away from the phone as he makes his decision. He'll announce his choice on Tom Lemming's ESPN Signing Day show at 3:15 PST.
GBW's guess at U-M's chances with Colvin: 50%, dead on.
(Colvin missed the first five games of his senior season due to an academic issue but has still caught 35 passes for 691 yards and 11 touchdowns. He is TheInsiders.com's #19 prospect, SuperPrep?s #17 prospect, and Tom Lemming?s #32 prospect. He was one of the top three performers in the US Army All American Game.)"
