On a serious note, Pennstate would run through the SEC.
The anti-sec sentiment nationally is common throughout sports, both amateur and pro. Sec gets hyped, you guys get bothered by it. It is only natural when a conference or team has won 5 consecutive titles. Were the big ten at the top of the heap and had won the bcs title game the past 5 yrs, then I would probably feel the same way as u guys do now.
Btw, I did not read the original post....

you're right. Should have been TCU vs Stanford.
Jack: We don't have a problem admitting that the SEC is the best conference. Read the ridiculous shit posted at the start of this thread. That's what drives everyone nuts. Read it.
I think the sec was lucky to go 5 - 5 in bowl games. On New years Florida got lucky with a late interception, Michigan was playing with a lame duck coach and Mich St did'nt want to be there because they wanted the Rose Bowl. The sec could have easily gone 2-8 or 1-9 if Oregon played better.

5-5 means 10 of the 12 schools in the SEC went to a bowl game. Should Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, or Florida have actually played post season?...maybe not, but they have to fill slots for all of these damn games, and, truth be told, SEC fans travel well.
Now, in regards to Michigan St not wanting to be in a bowl game where they get the opportunity to play Alabama and Michigan playing with a lame duck coach, sounds like excuses as to why the Big 10 got dominated on New Year's Day. If we want to speculate, Arkansas SHOULD have beaten the all mighty Buckeyes had their receivers been able to catch a cold. We can debate this all day but the point is the SEC has won the last 5 BCS Championships. Until there is a playoff, we will continue to debate these issues...and SEC teams will continue to win BCS National Championships.
A Bama fan saying "didn't want to be there sounds like an excuse" is very funny to me. Utah 31 Bama 17. :142smilie

Congrats on a huge Sun Bowl victory. In what decade do you see Notre Dame being relevant again in college football? The 2020's or 2030's?
