What that call did.....

Gave Dallas the cover and the over hits.

Major ramifications.

Just pointing out the OBVIOUS. The one referee who was 3 ft from the play in perfect position SAYS feet got tangled !

And the NFL is not fixed.....Tim Donahey ?

The morons of Collingsworth and Gumbey both agreed it was not as they showed it about 6 times. Major call affecting the end of a game once again.

America's team...what do you think. Hate the Cowboys, can't wait until they get romped.

Anyways, on a side note...last year I called it out that Aaron Rogers is gonna be a very good QB in the NFL for a few reasons.Tonight I think he showed some hope for the future.

Anyways, he's been under Favre's wings and he's never had to have the pressure on him. He's gotten time to watch the game slow down. I always thought if Favre got hurt or retired that GB would still be ok.

i agree with you about the pass interfernce call but don't agree with the game being fixed.refs in any sport shouldn't dictate an outcome on a game...

Did you know that NFL referee's aren't full time refs?

They do their thing, and officiate on weekends, etc...whenver needed.

They need an NFL program setup so these refs can be the best they possibly can be.

So. Cal
actually the feet got tangled, however the gb db grabbed and pulled the cowboy wr arm and twister his body before the feet got tangled so it was the correct call

then again, the game being fixed and it being a bad call offers some sort of explanation for a losing bet

this game was on the verge of becoming a blowout if TO didn't lateral the ball to GB in the end zone. is he on the take too?:mj07:

Disclosure: I had Dal -6.5 (-120) OV 51.

Here is the bottom line. The NFL needs to adopt the NCAA Pass Interference rule. There is way too much @ stake on a ref w/this call in the NFL. In this instance, the GB player did impede the Dal receiver by maybe 1/3 of a yard when he put his hand across shoulder pads...THEN the DB intentionally ran across WR's feet in an effort to trip said receiver- trust me, that was intentional. What the GB, DB didn't realize when he was toast by a yard, was that the ball would never have been caught. The ball was 3 yards overthrown. The WR was not catching that had he ran free. The "johnny on the spot" ref didn't throw the flag. The DAL fans did.

Bottom line. Moral to the story. Pass Interference in the NFL needs to be a 15 YD penalty. Way too harsh on a "NBA" call. I assure you, the NFL refs would much rather that be a 15 yarder than a game changer. That rule needs to be CHANGED ASAP imo!

Huh?...

...It is actually a rule (please correct me if I'm wrong here!) that Interference can't (read: shouldn't!) be called if the ball is "uncatchable".

It's not upto the DB to decide!! If he deliberately impeeded the WR it's PI...up to the crappy old umpire to decide the penalty...

...but, you know it's gunna get called more often than not. All sports love their fan-inducing points. :SIB

It amuses me when the Cowboys are doing good, they win because the refs fix the games or someone is injured. I got so sick of hearing about Woodson and KGB, the Cowboys have played ALL YEAR without the #2 receiver, Terry Glenn, who would be #1 for many teams.

No one from Dallas is crying about that. Geez, why can't people just say good job, you will have another shot in January

In the 1st qtr., Dallas CB totally faceguards Gb WR, no call, replays show it again and again. That would have put the Pack deep in Dal. territory.

2nd qtr. I believe, GB takes the ball right out of Dall reciever before going out of bounds. Again, shown over and over. GB ball - ahh NO! and the last call you have brought up, Not PI, sorry.

GB got homered the 3/4 of that game.

This is why I haven't changed my signature in 7 yrs.

I thought it was a good call. He had his hands in his face regardless. I know the feet got tangled, but not before the hands went in his face.

Who cares about what Cris and Bryant say anyway. As far as I'm concerned they are a couple of dumb asses that can't tell the difference between the teams and the uniforms. I saw them refer to "the Packers great WR Terrell Owens" and vice versa with a few other players:142smilie .

Also, the bad calls go both ways. I saw Owens catch a ball with both feet in w/clear possession only to get ruled out of bounds. You don't see me crying about it or a few of the other calls as well.

Actually no it wasn't. Did you see the score when that happened?

Terry Glenn wouldn't be a #1 on many teams, so check that statement....maybe on a taem like the Titans LOL

As far as Woodson/KGB, they didn't play, and it is huge that they didn't. Not having your best DL and your best CB is hardly compareable to not having your #2 WR loooooooool

I agree, was definately a bad call.

And after watching highlights of this game, I'd have to agree that DALLAS got their fair share of calls.

The pass interference was a no call for several reasons.

#1- You don't need another refs opinion. They huddled up to make a team decision which proved to me that neither knew 100%.
#2- MAYBE, MAYBE a lil hand action, but the contact was incidental and the ball was uncatchable.

Dallas isn't a good 11-1 team. They're probably the worst 11-1 team. They could have lost to Buffalo, Washington, and now Green Bay.

They're a team who I honestly think could get tripped up early in the playoffs.

Again correct, sometimes I wonder what game some of these people are watching with some of the comments made?

Bottom line is the Packers got the shaft:com: The Refs blew two critical calls early in the game, where the scores could have been reversed,

One telling statistic of a game is first downs. Dallas had 23, and the Packers had 20. Hmmm, how is it that 5 for the Cowboys, and only 1 for the Packers were due to penalties:shrug: Does make you wonder. Yes penalties were about even, but penalty flags thrown at the right time, and at critical times, make all the difference. Just ask Seattle in the Super Bowl a couple of years ago:142smilie

Carry on...
