Considering Lousville's coach, Petrino, cares more about covering the spread than any coach in the nation. Just look what he did on national TV last season on a Thursday against Pitt to make sure he covered... could have kneeled with class, but kept pounding away to get the final TD and cover the number.

Just starting to read the 5 regional annuals that Steele is putting out this year, as opposed to the 3 he published last season.

It's alright, but not worth the extra $7 for each if you already have the national mag. Buy all 5 for $30 from Northcoast...if you are a degenerate like myself. :142smilie

The Pac-10 regional incl. 28 pages of short previews for the entire IAA. If you are into handicapping IAA schools like myself, then I would get this one. The Sports Network is the only other place for IAA preseason previews....and I am still waiting for them to post their first for the Summer.

Alright just picked my copy up last week, better late than never right. But I was curious as to what section you guys use the most when preparing for upcoming games. I find alot of the info is what the backup so and so did 3 years ago, and its like cool thanks but what is it lookin like this year.
I found the most improved section very informative, and some of the other 1 or 2 page top 10 or etc in each category, but reading about the individual team what do you guys really look for?

stocks...

interesting question...

basically i use this magazine just for reading material....

but i do look at the potential for each team's offensive & defensive lines....how many have college game experience & how many are seniors & juniors.

to me line play is the most important aspect of football at all levels...

good luck this year.

thanks ar,

I would definitely agree with you there, i mean just watching usc offense last year white and bush were running through holes that were four or five bodies wide, and leinhart would have hours to find one of the many all american recievers, I said many times last year that it was usc line that was the best part of the team.

And i looked alot closer last year at the teams run defense, because frankly the better your run defense is the better you will do in the season is my belief
