Duckworth could possibly give them 6-7 quality innings tonight but might be hairy in the 8th and 9th for the Phillies with their bullpen usage last couple of days.

Surgery for Bottalico. After an MRI examination revealed that he had a torn labrum in his right shoulder Monday, reliever Ricky Bottalico agreed yesterday to undergo season-ending arthroscopic surgery. That surgery will be performed by team physician Michael Ciccotti on Friday.
With Bottalico out for the season, Bowa said he would alternate rookie Carlos Silva and veteran Jose Santiago as his righthanded setup men with Dan Plesac serving as the lefthanded setup man.
"We're going to miss Ricky," Bowa said. "With the exception of one or two bad outings lately, he had been throwing well for us."
After a terrible start, Santiago has a 2.16 ERA in his last 16 appearances and, for the most part, Silva has pitched well all season. He went into last night's game against the Florida Marlins with a 2.55 ERA.
Bowa said his one concern about Silva was his ability to hold baserunners in the late innings.
"He has a tough time trying to throw a quality strike when he has to use the slide step," Bowa said. "Every time he has to slide step, he gets the ball up in the zone."
Extra bases. Jeremy Giambi was given last night off and may not be in the lineup again today when the Phillies face rookie lefthander Michael Tejera... . Bowa said that backup catcher Todd Pratt would start tonight's game with Brandon Duckworth on the mound for the Phillies. Duckworth is 2-0 with a 1.54 ERA in six starts with Pratt as his catcher and 2-4 with a 6.17 ERA in eight starts with Mike Lieberthal behind the plate... . Righthander Brad Penny was scheduled to pitch the series finale against the Phillies on Thursday, but the team decided he should make another rehab outing before being activated from the disabled list. Kevin Olsen (0-4, 4.26) will pitch for the Marlins against Terry Adams (3-5, 3.84).
