That's what's running today at "beautiful" Philly Park.

Short and sweet....

4th race: Only two races look decent today and this one is the lesser decent. Still worth a shot - no. 3 keyed (top/bot) with the LongShots of your choice.

5th race: when I saw no 7, Hot Lady, in the entries I thought I was gonna be sending it in on this one today. I liked the way she ran her last race, watched it live (online, of course). She got the lead on 10 opponents quickly and hadem by 2 plus lengths in the stretch and looked mighty good in that last race.
Changing my mind after seeing that she musta been walking around that track cause the fractions were slower than you know what. AND STILL, she couldn't hold on. Despite the fact that she has the best jockey and trainer in today's race - I just can't pull the trigger on her. Those fractions were terrible. Blah, blah, blah...
the play is ->... make that ARE nos. 4 and 8 in this race. I'll wheel one and play the other Win/Place with a decent sized bet; both have very nice odds. Gotta just pick one you say? Ok, take your chances with the 8 but I'll be on both.

Usually get company down here in sunny FLA. for the holidays. This year it's good friends from N.J., my sis in Philly, and my niece in Yule, Fla. for the Holiday feast.

First time it happened but the New Jerseyites had had big problems with the storm and had to postpone their trip down here this year, my sister got the flu, and my niece can't make it for Turkey Day and will be down here during the week after Turkey Day (car problems). UGH.

Sooooo... it'll be me and Joanie BIRD ... . and a 19 lb. Turkey this year. :00x9

Oh, one mo thing to top it off.... it's FAVORITES DAY at Philly.

HM's hit is one pick-me-upper for today anyway. Way to go.. yeah, Elliot and Alverado are jockeys to look for on your picks.

LUCKILY, only played two stinkin races and that was a GOOD move. Didn't like what I saw in the entries for today.

I'll be on the LOOKout for the last race. I think Philly must be praying for some heavy snow so they can cancel and get the 10 fans at the track today into their casino.

No lookers in the finale, forced a couple of small plays (NOT a good thing to do).

"Visited" the track with a small bag of peanuts today and left with a small bag.

We're gonna take a long walk around the neighborhood, just beautiful outside and besides, we REALLY gotta work up a BIG appetite for Thursday.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING everybody (even the Peepers, LOL) remember, we DO have a lot to be thankful for.
