Bankaroo tells me that I haven't been doing so good lately. Time to DOWNshift.

Theme for today is - Double duty screening out NON playable races (only 3 playable today), near min. bet levels, many combos.

For the sake of posting - all zotics are figured at ONE stinkin dollar (I will be playing some for$2 and tries are all $1). I'll inclued the total cost for each race based on $1 zotics and $5 straight plays except where indicated differently.

5th race: Trifectas ->1/2,3,7/2,3,6,7 and 6/2,3,7/1,2,3,7
Zactas: box 1-3-6 and 2 OVER 1,6 and for $2 ->7 OVER 1,6. Looks like $30 total.

NOT PUTTING THE 5th RACE IN YET. Gotta make sure the no. 5 is not a L@@KER.

6th race: 4 top/bot 1,2,3,7, 8,9 and zackta box 1-2-8 AND Win/Place on no. 3 which can be for a little less than $5 cause this one should be big odds. Total should come to about only $24.
BTW, that no. 4 is Arepeatee, which is the same one I nailed and posted here last time he was in one of these full-field turf affairs; he won and paid off pretty good. He's in good shape and I think he can hang on and, at least, hit the zacta in today's race.

8th race: $2 tickets -> no. 3 top/bot 1,2,4,9,11. That's it.

edited: I see now that the no. 11 drew into the 8th race. I gotta give that one a look.

Changes are out now and I see they moved the 6th race to the dirt. Shouldn't be a problem. Scratching the 2 helped. Downside is that I think it also helped the no. 8 and the morning line favorite.
I'm keeping the original bets in, may add a win ticket someplace.

Thanks, DT. Nice to see you're around and still interested in the Philly plicks.

Another day of spinning them tires...

I've had a lot of luck with them Philly dirt bombs, but that track just ain't co-operating like it used to... too many scwatches and even worser - too many favorites. Posting plays way ahead of time and not being around to see a most of the races live makes it tough and even tougher for the VIEWERS.

5th - got beat by a "magic nos." exacta. UGH! No. 3 got nosed out for third. I DID write in here that I was worried about the no. 5 and soon after I came back here to post my thoughts about the 8th getting moved to the dirt, I saw that the no. 7 got scratched. The thing to do was substitute the no. 5 for the no. 7 and that is what I did and then had no worries about that no.5. Also, it turned out that I didn't get to see any of today's races LIVE too so I wouldn't have been able to see that no. 5 in the prerace stuff. Paid off with a $100+ tri. When all was said and done, profit for that race was only $20. Tickets were $1.

6th: What a mess with all them scratches. Peatty finished 2nd and, OF COURSE, gets beat by the other favorite. Hit exacta but payoff didn't quite cover ticket costs. Sheeeet.

8th: Hit a nice 16 to 1 Place horse and who beats it.. the big favorite, OF COURSE and kills the exacta price. SHeeesh. BTW, I also played nos. 9 and 11 to win and PLACE. There ya go.. no. 9 (44-1) gets the show spot and pays $14.60 to show. Race was profitable to make it another day of "fun" but little to show for it.

If this track keeps it up with the scratches and parade of favorites, I'll just get ready for some tennis (U.S. Open.. yeah!) and look forward to them college footsbawlers. Switch interest from horses to watching them Cubbies lose once in a while (hoping they'd win for the sake of their loyal fans) but NO BETTING on that sport for me.. NO THANKS.
