Finally got through with the 9th. Think your L.S. of the day has a chance, HM. At least a way better chance than his odds would indicate.

Depends on how you played it, HM. The exacta should be able to get ya a new e-Machine.

Funny you wrote about that 9th race cause that's exactly what I was gonna write about when I got here.

Sometimes you just have to "listen" to what the track is telling you. That no. 12 horse would have been the LAST horse I woulda played in the finale. Lost pretty much all day, had so/so (barely) days for too long lately, favorites continue to RULE and, worst of all, the few longshots (my speciality) that do something are not making any sense at all to me.

That no. 12, whose a long standing Philly dirt bomb and a horse that I've cashed in on in the past, had a clear lane and a good trip in his last race and STILL got beaten by 16 plus lengths by the horse who finished 2nd to him today. That no. 12 showed absolutely no hint at being in the kind of shape to even compete with the FULL field he faced today. To add salt to the wound.... .. he was a clear cut DEADBEAT in the paddock before today's race - an absolute throw away.

What does he do? Did you watch the race? He moidered da bums wire to wire.

I had a bit of a bad run with Philly when the track went off my course with the havoc the weather caused that broken down track to become unusable on and off for a period of a couple of weeks awhile back. You might remember.. they cancelled then tried to run races and cancelled after one or two races, cancelled again, tried again.. cancelled. That was the only track that continued to do that after that bad weather spell. And I didn't do well for about a week even after they fully resumed racing.

What's going on now is worse. Nothing wrong with the track but it's clearly playing WAY out of MY cycle for too long now.

Timing is good though :)

The track is telling me that it's time for an early Christmas vacation.

Bring the I-pad back to the store, Hogman. Get a refund AND BE CAREFUL WITH IT if you intend to bring it to Philly Park. LOL

My core "business" (Philly hosses) is on hold for the holidays and the good thing about that is that I can work on my secondary business (not nearly as profitable as the dirt bombs) ... that would be the BAWLS....er the BOWLS.

TAKE IOWA ST. vs. my alma mater; I played that one as soon as I saw it. Hard to believe that they even gave me a pt. with State. I let them keep it too. Put a days worth of Philly hosse on it.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS.. Christmas, New Years, whatever you'll be celebrating, MJers.
