When I saw the entries for the first 2 races - I KNEW I was going to bet the double because I saw PHILLY based horses that am really familiar with in each race and confident as to how they would run. I only play this track and I watch/bet Philly hosses EVERY DAY that track runs; I only watch the races I play and that would average out to be 3 or 4 (sometimes only 2) races/day. When it came to actually handicapping those 2 races for today, the story changed cause they turned out to be way too competitive for daily double plays. :(

Went over them for a long time and came up with 2 picks for each of the first two races. Too tough to come up with daily doubles but I feel good about two horses in each of these races and any of one of these picks should pay off well...

1st race: nos 3 and 5

2nd race: nos. 2 (even with that jockey) and 6. I do like the 6 a bit better and this one will prob. have much better odds methinks.

I wouldn't put both bets in before the 1st race. Playing the first race and, depending how that one comes out, decide how to play the 2nd race. Maybe even skip the 2nd race if the first race payout is good enough. Playing with $5s and $10s for these races as long as neither looks like a DEADHEAD in the pre-race stuff. May put a couple of $20s together if one of them looks like a really good L@@Ker during the pre-race (paddock, post parade).

I may be around to post mo today?

Good Luck

Jimbo GL with your picks in the opener. Merril's Bank should get most the attention on the tote board and provide you with some good odds on yours.

Didn't get to see the pre-race for the 1st race, did get online for all of the 2nd race.

Played W/Pl on both plicks for the first and No. 5 did SHOW up :(

Best thing that happened was that they may have found something up with the no.6 in the second and sqwatched that one. :(

Good thing may be that no. 2, Lady Luciano, was absolutely FLYING down the stretch after being too far back for most of the race and I think this one is a play next out (same class) in her next start, ESP. with a different jockey maybe.

Since there's nobody here, I think I will mention my "stab play" in the 4th, no. 3 (Dan's Girl) and collected the Place payout of $9.40; still in the red at this point though.

Later races look playable today. Maybe I'll post a couple to myself later :)

G.L. whatever you play today, IF anything. NO NFLers for me! Strictly a college dudes player.

Hammy, you're a loyal MJer

Hammy, you're a loyal MJer

You were right about that. Whenever I see a race that is sooo competitive, I throw out the fav. and that part worked today for the opener. Sure wished the important part woulda worked better.

Right now, we're up to the 6th and I see that the players agree with Brix. The outside post and the early speed that one has are very good factors in 7 furlong waces, too. I gotta check into this race more.

Might as well continue today's events since this is kinda interesting.... in the 5th, the no. 5 was the ONLY L@@KER and had the worstest jockey at this wace twack too. I took a shot with this one in STINKIN (with this jock) 1 dollar zacks, top/bot with this 6/1 shot. Guess what, the bastage WON and I didn't have the other half of the exacta.

Not a good omen for today, Hammy.
