Just a suggestion that you may want to consider a very pricey horse(s) in today's 7th at Philly.

POSSE IN EFFECT, NO.2: Horses have been coming from nowhere, with no form, to complete HUGE exotics at this track lately. This race looks like a good candidate for that craziness to continue. Looks like ALL but two (nos. 8 and 9) can't get out of their own way. Race is cheap and the 8 and 9 ain't much. I think Posse has been quietly sharpening and also see some angles that could spell BiG BUCKS. Unfortunately, we'll need a little luck with this CLOSER (will need to find a clear opening with most of this field in front of him). IF YOU LIKE THE 1, 10, or 11 - all longshots with a shot in this race - don't let me get you off any of them. I'll be on the no. 2 though.

Good Luck whatever you play today.

Just got online

Just got online

Thanks for checking out my thread folks.

Looks like I ain't the only one that like this horse today, from a 20-1 morning line ... RIGHT NOW he's 9 to 2. Sheesh!

He doesn't look that great in the paddock neither, but these are cheap horses so I won't let that stop me from playing him.

jdub, can't take any chances playing him with a selected few others for exotics. Nos. 8, 9,1, 11,12 are the ones I kinda liked, but I thing either just play Posses W/P/S or Wheeling him top/bot. is the choice here.

A few scratches

A few scratches

OK, RIGHT NOW (I just got on)... I see there are a few scratches I think that helps. No. 11 looked decent in the post parade.

What is going on with this place?

What is going on with this place?

I knew that I didn't have the best jockey in the race, far from it, but he did have plenty of experience with this nag. Sure as hell didn't look it though, getting out dead last with about 8 lengths in back of the horse in front of him. DANG!

May have to cool it posting cause, ever since the deep cold spell started, I no longer got this track figured out. This race sure as hell looked like a price.... and EXACTLY the opposite happens, both favs. come in.

Oh well, it'll warm up some day.

Sheesh

Sheesh

Now, I really feel like I screwed up aropund here. I got pretty much creamed in that 7th which was the ONLY race I played for today. I wheeled top/bot in that 7th.

Figured I'd try to get it back (usually the sign of being a LOSAH) so I resorted to my DEFAULT play for two turn races. No handicaping, just following one of my rules that I'm gonna share with folks who may have lost on account of my 7th race screw up....

"in two turn races, ALWAYS play the nos. 1 and 2 (whatever kind of play you like to make but especially accross the board or just W/P)... IF the odds on BOTH of them is better than 5-1).

Yeah, it worked this time. It's usually a decent play at Philly too.

Coulda been "worser"

Coulda been "worser"

Got back the 7th race hammering (which exactly describes my circumstance) by resorting to that "angle" play instead of capping them. Keep that angle in mind if ya just gotta (a NO, NO) play a race and the scenario fits. If you have old results - check it out for Philly.

Was just about even before playing the last race (10th).. .. boxed 6,8,11 for just $2 tickets and small side plays on 4 and 6 for W/Pl. The track just isn't playing right since the VERY cold weather arrived- not coming up with those HUGE exotics that have been coming in. Agan, that last race today with a full field (before scratches) that looked like a pricey payoff with the favs. looking beatable.. comes in BOTH stinkin favorites again.

I hit one of them big payoffs BEFORE the cold (about 2 weeks ago with that "NICE WIN" hoss) and more than half of that very NICE WIN ($) is gone at this point.

If anybody plays Philly on Mon. or Tues, chime in here please so I'll know if I should post anything IF I SEE something worthwhile. Sometimes I skip Fri and Sat (my worst days) but not Mons. or Tues's.

Sorry bout that losah, Oak. Maybe just watching the picks for awhile and see if I start clicking again (I AM ahead of this track and been that way for awhile).

MISC. stuff

Toteboard froze up AGAIN, last race OFFICIAL program had more than half the field with incorrect (by a lot) Morning Lines, nobody at the track, no N.Y. OTB, ... not looking good for Philly.:nono:

Did yas hear> - N.J. legislatures proposed that ALL live racing be terminated at the Meadowlands. :scared
Track lost over $ 7 mill. last year and looking at -$11 Mil. for 2010.

The greed is really doing/did a number on this sport - OTBs, year round racing, offshore racing books, casinos, etc.

Thanks for stopping in here, MJers.
