WOW, I had to do a double take after seeing the action in here for Thursday's action. :0034

Way to liven up the place posters. :0055

I would have jumped in, but I only focus on ONE track (and I mean FOCUS on it). Wed-Fri are Hoss Holidays for me :)

Saturday's card has a few races with enough horses entered to give it a go today. Races are competitive too and that could mean nice payoffs.
Here's my thoughts on the Philly action for today...

Race 4
No. 8 (5-1 M.L. may go off higher) is the pick. Zackta factas are 1,3,5,7. I'll be using the nos. 1 and 5 fosho. Straight bets across the board on no. 8 (2x to Show) could be the way to go?

Race 5
Gotta do some wheeling and dealing in this race. For the sake of this post, I'll just mention that no. 2, Brandons Beach, will be on almost all of my tickets. Looks like one of the bestest bets for today.

Race 6
Top rated hosses are nos. 4,6,7. Here's the deal on this race, for me that is... . the 4 and the 6 are coming off layoffs and don't have the things I look for with layoff types. BUT, aside from that, thems are the best ones in this field. I gotta eliminate one of them based on how they look in the prerace and gonna substitute a horse that I fear in this race that will be a nice price. That one would be no. 3.

Race 7
Coming up with the two favorites, nos. 3 and 4, for this one :(
Messing around with TWO favorites in this type of race at this track usually ain't the way to go. Still looking for a couple of pricey ones in here to go with each in zacktas. Other option could be to go with one of them (no. 3 or 4) to win IF either one of them goes off at 4-1 or better.
Just may have to pass this competitive race.

G.L.

too many lookers in the 9th but the 4,5,6 L@@K a bit better than the others. Good odds on these as well.

Just started to load, but no. 11 is running loose on the track so should have more time.

Wanna mention that the no. 6 is looking better and better... ah, 36-1 right now. BTW, the start is gonna be delayed for at least 5 more mins.

Wrap up

Hmmm.... even the Lookers are looking the wrong way too. Only, TWO "deadbeats" (throw outs) in the prerace for that 9th race.. nos. 9 AND NO. 8! SHEEEET

Except for the the 7th, couldn't share anything in the way of WIENERS today, but I can share something that worked for that 7th race -

When I checked out that 7th, I see that my two picks were 5/2 (no. 3) and 7/2 (no. 4). I had 3 horses marked as zacta factas.. 6,8,9. No. 8 looked like a definite deadbeat in the pre race stuff, so that one got tossed. That left my two favorites (picks) with the nos. 6 and 9.

What worked was - the better odds on the 4 (7/2, at the time I betem) got $4 stinkin dollars over the 6 and 9 and 2 worser stinkin dollars UNDER 6,9. No. 3 got bet to win, only; and only enough to cover all the bets for this race. This kiinda reasoning has worked in the past as well.

Results were a 4/9 zacta that paid $42 not so stinkin dollars even though BOTH of my favorites closed at 2-1.

That's one thing I like about this track.. that Philly icing on the cake came in pretty handy today. Didn't completely save the whole day, but made it tolerable.

Biggest disappointment today was that there no. 2 in the 5th. Didn't run that badly, but I expected much more from that one. That horse (Brandon's Beach) is better than it showed today and sticking with it is a good idea methinks. Pretty sure Brandon's "turn" in the winner's circle may be coming up soon and I won't be saying," Son ah ma BEACH" after that race. .

Happy Easter, y'awl.
