Almost all the tracks save their big races for Saturday but one big exception is Philadelphia Park. Tuesday is their "better hosses" day and used to be mine too come to think about it. That ain't the case this SATURDAY (today) though, thems got some real race hosses going today in addition to quality Philly runners, and full (well, almost) fields going as well.

NOW, just cool it with the dang scwatches, PARX!! Grrrr.

There's 6 or 7 Playable races today.

Think I'll put some Robot bait out today and post the first PLAYABLE race which happens to be quite playable BTW. It would really be nice to have a new face stop in and, if one or more do stop in, looking for other PHILLY (only) runners for today - I'll just keep
keep_on_truckin.jpg
and posting too. :)

You know it just ain't much sense to post to myself and Hammy and DoubleTwo who know how to pick horses and prob. don't need help from me. Besides, based on what I'm seeing from my last thread, there's 405 robots out there LOL. Heck, ONE of them must be interested in little ole Philly Park.

More seriously though - I like to watch them for L@@KERS and be able to post my pick along with how the horses look before the race and it ain't easy at all to get the post in here and betem in less than 5 mins. I'm gonna try to catch them LIVE around race 5 or 6 today. I do have an "OFF THE WALL" Longshot of the DAY in the 9th.. a real stretch alright. But, it ain't the first OR second time one them HEAVY DUTY BOMBERS won for me ($90+ wiener) and Hammy, HM. and esp. deliman can testify to that. I damn well will try my bestest to get online before the 9th cause I need to SEE this hoss.

Sheesh, I wrote a book already and didn't git to to the first pick...

Ok, 2nd RACE which is the first PLAYABLE race for me that is:

Gotta mention that the horse I'll be putting some (a little more than "some") is a PERSONAL PICK and NOT rated in my top 3 rated hosses. AND, the ratings have been making it happen for awhile now too.

I did put MORE than "some" moola on Brandons Beach, no. 6, 9/2 M.L. the last time he (actually an "it", but I prefer "HE") ran. I was so sure this horse was sitting on a WIN and was wrong about it. He didn't show much at all except some run down the homestretch. He sho didn't look like the Brandon I know. Still, I'm sticking with this one today.
Here's the top rated hosse, not necessarily in this order - 1,4,7,9.

Come back for mo, first time visitors (yeah right). Either way, I'll write a wrap when the fur and horse poopies stops flying.

But, GOOD LUCK whatever yas playing, if anything, today.

Good morning Jim,
Appreciate your offer to elaborate on your selection criteria. So what do you think about R8: Zaphyra?

No prooblem.

I really like the fact that he is owned and trained by Levine. Horse is consistent that's fosho. SEVEN yr. old mare has been closing well and should get good positon from pp. 3. I do like this one. Ba, ba, BUT-> not as much as I like no. 6.

I would go with some magic (tri) but I don't believe the no. 1 will get in the tri. I got Zaphyra with the 6 in an exacta and the magic for me would be a 2<->6 exacta (double tickets).

Overall, I like the no. 6 the most, not only for this race, but for the whole day's races.

Good Luck today, Hammy

well, looks like the luckiest thing that happened to me today was when they scwatched my Best Bet of the day in the 8th.

Had the no. 3 (13/1) top/bot with 3 horses in the 6th but dang no. 7 wasn't one of them; 7-3 paid $127.40.

Rarely play BOMBERS at 60-1; did today and it actually didn't run like a 60 to 1 shot. But not good enough (9th race)

Robots got lucky today.

Wrap up

Wrap up

Wraped it up with a good move -> no. 5 across the board (8-1, and paid nicely to Place and Show) and a bad move -> no. 9 on top of 3 others in exactas.
That no. 5 got beat by a 3/5 shot. :jerkit:

They bet down Brandon to 9/5 and I do believe he was well meant today too. Ran his ass off early and was looking good but didn't have enough left for the stretch run. May be something wrong with him? Hope you didn't unload on that one, DT. Ya gotta take it easy with them bets. I put the singles and 5 dollar bills down and went with the 10 dollar bills (yeah, with an "s") on Brandon and the bankaroo shows a few scratches, but not dents, to show for it. Unloading, even minor-unloading like in my case, is usually a bad thang to do.

Watch to see if he gets bet down (below his M.L.) next time he runs and that decides whether to bet him or not. Aristone trains him and he knows what he's doing.

Come back tomorrow, Robots, cause I'm ready to whip some ass BIG TIME at least one of the remaining days of the week at Philly. Don't forget to blow the dust off them keyboards and chime in. Expecting some BOMBERS coming down the conveyor belt before the Philly week ends. :)
