Looks like about 60 mystery viewers are interested so I'll post some mo Phlly dirtbombs. There must be at least one of them that ain't reading this stuff just out of boredom.

ONLY 2 or 3 races are playable today so I should be able to get into the PAYdays (Monday, Tues) with enough of a bankroll to do some damage (HOPEFULLY, not to ME) even if today doesn't work out.

4th Race

I got 48 bucks worth of EXOTICS for this one and I'm sure that nobody is that interested in all those plays. I ain't too interested in typing them all up neither LOL

But, some are about playing the trifecta and I DON'T wanna come back in here and tellyas all about all the moola I won without posting, so here's the trifectas I'm going with for this race...

6/1,5,10/1,2,5,7,10 hoping yawl understand this racetrack jack shorthand stuff.

Here's what may be helpful though - I am focusing on the no. 6 and the no. 7 horse. Notice that I don't have a 6-7 to start off the trifecta and that's cause I got it as an exacta. I got more exactas, but both of these horses should be good odds and W/Pl/Sh bets could work out well with one (the one YOU pick) of them or possibly BOTH. It's easier to decide when the current odds are up. If anybody views the races then - If one looks like a deadhead and the other looks alive, even if just BARELY, in the prerace.. THROW OUT THE DEADHEAD. Thems obvious, the live one's ain't so obvious. That's my advice anyways. The no. 6 has the pps lines for me, but has been away from the races for quite awhile (not good). The other one, no. 7, gots EMMA :)~

6th Race

It's virtually assured that this race is gonna produce a very decent exotic payoff. May be EXTREMELY decent too. A boatload of broken down hosses, equally BAD.. and BEST OF ALL - no damn Gurerro hoss to spoil the party. LUV these kinda races cause with a little luck, plenty of experience AT THIS (or your) TRACK (there are no specific rules for ALL tracks), and enough to cover a reasonable no. of combos.. it could make for a nice little "killing".

Can't play this race without closely watching the prerace stuff. Haven't seen any life in the horses for quite awhile but my last two "trips" (via modern technology that is) some have showed up and paid off ALL RIGHT. If one or two of the dirtbombs in this race show me something in the prerace.. that could make the day very worthwhile. Spotting a runner in a cheap race is better and easier than spotting one in a high class race.

Capping wise, I come up with two horses in this race, no. 7, Estrogen Rockette @ 4-1 M.L. and a "WAKE UP" hoss, no. 8, Duomo @ 15 -1. Normally, I'd play one Win/Place/Show (maybe Show) and wheel the other one top/bottom in exactas. The no. 4 (2nd choice M.L.) may go off the favorite though, but still very close to 3-1 methinks. The no. 8 will also prob. go off less than his M.L. Hoping there aren't too many scratches too.

May have something for the 9th, gotta do some mo figuring.

G.L. NFLin today. FOR ME, if I bet on the games that are going on THIS WEEKEND - that would be GAMBLING. That ain't for me. ;)

4th resutls

4th resutls

Somebody gave me a "tip" for a hoss running at Gulfstream today. This is the cut n paste of what I wrote back...

>>
Like this just completed 4th race f'rinstance.Thought I got burnt again when my TOP trifecta hoss only got second place. I checked my "tickets" to see how my stinkin exacta (top and bottom) wheel with my no. 6 did.. and it came out to be another ...

PHILLY SPECIAL

I wouldn't play the hoss that beat him with somebody else's moola, but at this track ya gotta wheel em.... cause Poo Poo can happen to ya if ya don't. And that's exactly what I did. Paid off for me .... cause the winnah was 70-1 :scared

Two dollar zacta paid $716. for TWO stinken bucks. I only had ONE stinken buck on the wheels. Still, I'll take the $358. :)

And I thought the 6th race was gonna be the HUGE paydirt race.

These kinda things just don't happen at Gulfstream and even when pricey hossses come in like in Philly's 4th - they (Gulfstream) must slip out half of the pot when nobody's lookin cause thems just don't pay like this.

It's Phil - A -Del - Fia, for me.

From my account status .....

COMPLETED: 70257405199840 PRX #4 $1 Exacta 1,3,4,5,8,9,10,WT,6 none $ 7.00 $ 359.70 + $ 352.70
3 COMPLETED: 34992453783732 PRX #4 $1 Exacta 6,WT,1,3,4,5,8,9,10 none $ 7.00 $ 1.00 - $ 6.00

That's just from the exacta part of my wagers for this race with the 6 hoss. I also had some stuff with the no. 7. Total bets for this race came to $46.

HOPE some of you caught them Bears today. G.L.

Gotta get back to Philly for the 9th.

Monday, Monday.. .so good to.. :)

Monday, Monday.. .so good to.. :)

Sorry, no time to make the background music for this long writeup I was thinking of doing. I'm sure everybody will appreciate that I put the time INSTEAD into the writeups.

Gotta be "sorry" again, but tellyas yesterday was what hoss wacin can do that other sports can't. Pick a 6-1 shot that you (ME) thinks can win the race but can't come up with anything else in a tightly matched bunch .. soo.. ya just wheel him for minimum amounts and wish for a $40 -$50 payoff, try to hit the jackpot with some trifectas and you wind up hitting a jackpot worth TWO trifectas when the hoss that beats your hoss, who ran 2nd, does an ABSOLUTE about face on the track and wins at 70-1. The winner's name is "FARM SUBSIDY" and he wasn't the "FARM SUBSIDY" I know. Everytime I saw that horse run he ran backwards from the time he left the starting gate till the time he got to the finish line.
Every horseplayer has prob. experienced something like that and it's what racing is all about.. just great.

I wasn't gonna post or maybe not even play anything today after yesterday's bonanza AND the fact that I figured the views were lower on Sunday so Monday would be absolutely dead. Then I remembered it's Martin Luther King day and maybe some folks would be interested. I am taking Weds. and prob. tomorrow off and watch some
tennis%20players.gif

Let's see if there are any mo of the Philly surprises at the track today..

Race 2

Went over this in depth like I do ALL the playable races, but after doing that this one BARELY makes a PLAYBLE race. Come up with the two favorites. Coming up with just one favorite can work by the way you bet it, but both favorites puts you between a rock and hard place as they say.
No. 2, Lakeville Rush, 6-1 M.L. is a horse that I am very familiar with. Almost always has very good (for this class) late energy, likes Philly almost as much as I do, and connections are very good all the way around (incl. OWNER). He's looked good lately as well. An exacta TOP/BOTTOM WHEEL DEAL using the no. 2 with the 1,7,8 should pay maybe thirty something buckaroos. A 2<->8 will prob. yield more. 3 or 4 stinkin bucks a ticket sounds good to me. Still, not such a great betting race. IF the Philly crowd screws up and lets the no. 1 or no. 7 go off at better than 3 to 1, that one could make a good side insurance play for Win/Place.

Race 5

Right after checking out the no. 1 hoss - I thought about stopping and declaring this one as the BESTEST Bet of the Day and just spread accross the board EVERYTHING I planned to bet today on this race and call it a day. LUCKILY, I glanced at no. 2 and my smile turned to tears when I saw who trains this motha jumpa. Yeah, CG (that's what he goes by in my threads from now on). LAST TIME I'm writing that -> "He refuses to lose a stinkin race AND on the rare occasions that he does..... his hoss ruins the exacta by finishing second". Well, his horse is gonna have to run his ass off to beat "my" no. 1 and, instead of just letting the race go on without me like I usually do when Gurerro is in it, I'm gonna figure something out cause that No. 1 is DYNA MITE that looks ready to explode.

The only good thing about this situation is that "my" no. 1 is gonna get a little UNDERbet. My bankaroo sez "Go for the Jugular, JR" .. but that ain't my style esp. after yesterday's action (I can take losing, but NOT giving winnings back).

Here's the deal FOR ME,that is....
either (1) trifectas (0nly 1 or 2 stinkin bucks/ticket) 1,2/1,2,5,7/1,2,3,5,7 OR (2) just no. 1 Win/Place/Show.. somewhere between 10/10/20 to 15/15/30 depending on the odds. A combination of both plays ain't a bad idea either. Oh, and ya gotta add two exacta boxes too, but only for a buck cause they'll pay VERY well cause CG ain't in them... BOX 1-8 and BOX 1-9. Ya can make a lot with a little at this place.

BTW, no bridge jumping cause there's a downside to every race and this one is no exception. There are several good horses with decent speed in this race which causes a situation where the no.1 could get boxed in. Worser, 2 of them are right next to the no. 1, the 2 and the 3 and that makes matters worse. BUT, if this race just runs normally - I think the 1 moiders da bums.

Race 6

Hmm.... . . another barely playable race. Doesn't look like a Philly Special either. For me, if I'm ahead today its a No Play. If not.. small exacta key no. 9 with the 3,4,7. If any combination is a low exacta payer.. doubling up on that combo.

Race 7

Favorite, no. 2, looks pretty tough. Trying two excellent zacta nos. (yeah, they go together)
Exacta BOX: 2<-->6 and play, I'm thinking for Win/Place, only, on the side, no. 9 M.L. is 7-2 (may go higher) and no. 11 (20-1) who will probably lead this field a good part of the way and who knows when the anchor is gonna get dropped.

Think I've had enough studying for now. Looks like at least one of the later races are playable. If I'm ahead at this point - I just may call it a good week and watch some footballers. Wait a minute... make that ->TENNIS PLAYERS.

Good Luck MJers

Monday wrap up

Monday wrap up

NOT a good day at all. I thought about mentioning this, but the thread was too long...

EVERYtime I hit something extra good I go into a bit of a tailspin immediately after that race. Sunday was extra, extra good and sure enought I go and lose quite a few consecutive races.

One of the bestest days I've had at the track was TWO days before Philly closes for their mid-summer vacation in August. On the following day they had something like 14 races and after I checked out the entries for that final day I couldn't wait to get back there because the horses and card was EXACTLY the kind of day that I just LUV. Horses I was familiar with, plenty of sprint races, and good sized fields. On the previous day I won ALMOST every race I played and won PLENTY. I decided that I better UP my bets for the final day. Well, on that final day I played about 6 or 7 of the races. Caught ONE stinkin place winnah :( and lost well over half of my bonanza that I won the previous day. Same thing happened after similar days that I scored really good.

Monday's picks

Sorry bout that no. 1 Best Bet on Monday... NO, he didn't get boxed; he just had NUTHIN. Very rare that I see a horse that had just about ALL the things I look for and doesn't even get ITM. Dropped more than enough in that race, but didn't go overboad.. NEVER GO OVERBOARD.

Yeah, I did catch the last race trifecta and I'm pretty sure I musta wrote in at least one of my threads that 1,3, and 6 go together in trifectas. DON'T playem blindly, but anytime I like two of those horse nos. in a race that's the tri I box. Philly put the finishing touches to a bad day with the payoff though.. winnner, no. 6, paid $17 + to win yet the tri. only paid $84 ($86?) bucks. It helped, but didn't save the day.

Summary

Lost the posted plays, nailed the last race, LOST for the day but far from being a wipeout.

Oh, I better mention the "magic" nos. again... best is 1,3,6 for tries. .... distant 2nd best is 1,2,4 for tries (a plus is if the race is around 2 turns). Zacata nos. are 2<-->6. DON'T give any of these horses preferential treatment when capping the races, but do play them IF YOU LIKE two of the nos. in the same race.

Gonna enjoy the tennis action tommorow and Weds and give the poinies AND ME a break.

Don't give up cause there's more BIG BALLONS at Philly coming this way.

G.L.
