Closing out the Phil. week with these -

4th race:Sooo tough to back a horse with the connections this one has - jockey got my vote for worst at this twack, trainer ain't far behind for those "honors" either and a low profile owner. But, I liked this one in it's last race and he looked/ran well so I'm sticking with no.4, Light De Night (5-1). Either win, only or with the 1,5,7 (top/bot, zacks).

5th: 3,5 top/bot w. 7,8.

7th: Well, this one needs the 1000 lb. gorilla to falter in this race and IF that happens it could be the BIG Kahuna we've been looking for. I got 4 contenders that I'm gonna check out for this race; 8,10,11,12. At least two of these could win at 15/1 or more. Think I'll take a good look at each in the paddock, cross out one of them and play the other 3 to WIN,only. A scratch is always a possibility at this track and that could filter one out for me. Some folks say that's "playing against yourself" but I don't see it that way in a race like this at this track. Other thought would be to put the Big GUN (no. 6) top bot with each in exactas and hope she just holds on for second. Note that the big favorite won 4 of it's last 5 races, only failed in the one where she had to run over a mile. Today's race is 1 mi, 70yds. Ha HAH! All the others in this race ain't chicken livers either. But, don't let me you take you off the big gun, she's some kinda front runner.

8th:All depends of where I stand at this point. If I'm well ahead, I'll just spring for some magic - Tri box, 1-3-6. If not, I'll go with no. 3 top/bot 1,6,8.

Hope one of the "PARX" (hate that rename) like maybe Double Two sees something here that he agrees with.

That's all I got for today. French Open? Just watch Rafa mo down each opponent he faces, one by one.

Jim, GL today
The number 5(Noifswhatsorbuts) dropping to the lowest clm level is kinda of suspect of an unsound horse along with the results of last couple of races maybe a false morning line fav. You should get a good price on your 4 horse. Just my 2 pennies.

Yeah, hopefully not many of the bettors may not pick up on that and go by the morning line. NoIFS did have a nice workout the other day but it was a 3 furlong jobbie. It's closing out it's races that's been the problem for this 4 yr. old.

Have a good day, Hammy.

Have capped the first few races @ PARX, I mean Philadelphia:D, so here is my take on Races 4 & 5:

Race #4-I like the #1-Green Team(3-1)* who has won his last 2 Races after being claimed. Horse has speed & the Rail which is always a good combo. #2-Whistle Included(4-1)* has a solid Jockey on board in Angel Suarez who should have this horse in good position just behind my top pick. Will use #4-Light De Light(5-1)* & #5-Noifswhatsorbuts(2-1)* in my exotics but like you said Jimbo, the Jockey on #4 Adam Bowman is crap with only 1 win this year. Agree w/Hamster that #5 dropping to it's lowest level is a concern. Horse has tired badly in recent runs.

Race #5-Like #3-Beauty Wakita(5-2)* who ran a fast 2nd in the slop last time out but I'm going with the "Other" Robert Reid Entry #8-Raging Pegasus(6-1)*. She finished 7th in her last(also in the mud) but goes shorter today & on a fast surface this front-runner has the speed to win. Watch out for the #4-Flashy Eyed Pearl(7-2)*with Jon Bisono on board. She won her last after adding blinkers & a repeat is possible.

Looking @ the second half of today's PARX, I mean Philadelphia:D, card & will add my 2-cents later this am. Will also post my selections on all Races shortly. Best of Luck Jimbo!!!:0008

Hmmm may have chosen the wrong fork in the road of the two type of bets I posted for the 7th ... No. 12 ran right behind the "gorilla" to complete the exacta. Hmm.. no. 12 went off at 52 to 1. Son-Ah-Mah-BEACH

Let a $40+ zacta slip through my fingers with the gorilla ($2.40 to Win) on top too. That no. 12 looked good in the post parade too. :0045

Double Two, call it Parx if ya like, easier to type. :) Just to me, it's Philadelphia Park.

On to the 8th, no. 3 is top pick (5/6 now, Sheesh). May do somethng with the no. 6.

Are we having fun yet?

Think i'll be putting Hampshire on my PoPoo list; he hasn't been riding well and the ride he gave my no. 6 is proof. You have to see the first turn of that race to know what I'm pointing out here. NOT and an excuse for unLUCKY losing though.

On to a last chance to make it happen with the FINAL race of the day, a race full of Philly dirt bombs.

Made all small bets today, so I'll try something in the 9th.

Well, ALL look like deadheads, no. 2 may be an exception.

I'm coming up with the nos. 8 and/or 9.

Good enough.

Wrap up

Wrap up

Finally took a good route.... . did zacktas with the no. 9 (with 2,3,5, small tickets) but put a whole 10 dollar bill (bigger bet than I usually make for me, :s2:) to win, only on no. 8.

Hold off on the applause :)clap:) a lot of LUCK involved in nailing a wiener in a full field of dirt bombs on a muddy wacetwack.

Now for some TENNIS action :0064

WOW, $609.00 profit. Way to go, D2. :0057

It takes me a Philadelphia racing week to win that much... (yeah, right, I wish). I'm more of a chip away at them kinda bettor. It does add up as long as the handicapping does.

Tomorrow? Sorry, but I'm also a ONE twack kinda guy and what I know about what goes on at Philly takes up enough of my brain and there just ain't room for another track and all that goes with it. PARX (that's ok) runs 4 days a week and I'll even skip a day if I don't like the races scheduled for it for some days.

Great to see ya on this forum, Double Two. Keep raking it in :)

Hope to seeya on Sat, provided Philly has a Playable race for me.
