Almost every race is playable today. Just great, right?
WRONG!

That means BAD news, ESP. for me. The way I see it, the odds of winning any particular race is against you. If I'm right - how does the prospect look for coming out a wiener after facing 9 exciting Philly hoss waces? That depends on the payoffs of those races AND your prospects depends on successfully finding at least one, IF THERE ARE ANY, that offers the prospects of finding and hitting a big enough payoff that should ensure that you come out a wiener or, at least, get the odds in your favor with respect to ending the day on a winning note.

On a normal day, I like my chances at finding the races that appear to have a better than normal payoff potential. TODAY, almost all of them do, dang it. It's gonna take HOURS to properly cap almost ALL the races to find the FEW that qualify. UGH!

I'll be back at some point to see what I came up with. UN-fortunately, there will likely be more than 3 races and that makes the uphill battle worse.

So far, 46 Robots and not one hello. Sheesh.

Well, got most done; think I'll do it race by race today.

Capped them for a muddy twack and no turf.

Race 1: gave it a go and forget it. Not the kind of pp's that are workable.

Race 2: gotta see them, but the no. 5 looks like the one. Only 5 stinkin horses though; betting depends on the odds on the no. 5..

edited, nO. 7 in the first may take them for a spin.. good early spd. 2 mins.

He tookem for a spin ALL Right. :)

Gee, I wish I had more confidence to wheel that one; I did give that there no. 3 a long look and that one finished 2nd at 28 to 1. I went with across the board with 2x on the Show spot.

NOT expecting anybody to play along today cause I haven't been doing that great, but IF YOU ARE -> I'm pretty sure that I'll post picks with only a couple of minutes to post. I'm watching them LIVE today. It was mostly the prerace activities that drew my attention to that no. 7 hoss. Re-checked the pp's and they showed early speed, good jockey, muddy twack, weak field.. there ya go. BTW, I would NOT keep an eye out for this one next time cause that field was pretty weak and he PLODDED along the whole way which turned out to be good enough.

Let me know if you need one ahead of time and I'll try to do my best. DB, Hammy, regulars.

Prices are up, no. 7 paid $14.40, 8.20. 5.80.

Oh man, zackta paid $291 ... SON-ah-mah- BEEECH Grrrr!.

Thanks for stopping in, NY Mess. Keeps me going.

NO. 5 is CLEARLY my highest rated hoss in this race. BUT, he looks like a throw away as far as prerace stuff :(

nos. 6 and 7 L@@K good.
What a dilemma :(

Sure looks like maybe 5-6 -7 ot 5-6-8 boxes?

edited: when the resuts are a 6/5 and a 4/5 exacta.. I'M a LOSAH! This ain't a NY racetrack.

Glad you found that no. 7 in the first, NY. .

Ok, the 3rd...
I did NOT do the thorough, no. crunching capping on this horse race and don't have any "ratings" for it. BUT, for whatever reason, I'm thinking nos. 4 and 7 just may make some noise in this race. Gotta see those two.

I checked some of the numbers I work with along with other stuff I do when gettig a rating and those two look like they may be contenders anyway.

Right now, odds are just fine on them two.

I like it, I like it :)

That there great avatar you got there too. :)~

Yeah, win or lose - those odds are value plays on those two I think. I'm on both (one with zactas and the other W/PL).None of the horses in this race showed anything in the prerace activities also.

The bunching up didn't help the 7 or 4, but it didn't look like either had enough in the stretch run anyways. Went a little overboard on that race. :(

OH no.. get this.... when I try to see which ones are good or bad lookers in the paddock and post parade, I make two columns one with a checkmark (good or better than the others) and the other with an "x".

Guess what... I NOW see that the check col. had only TWO stinkin horses entered.. nos. 2 and 3. (as in " the exacta"). Tellya, that ain't the first time that happened but you can't play them all. Still, that really sucks.

I think the switch to the dirt will help your no. 2; it's last 2 races were terrible though. That 1A used to be one I REALLY liked.. BIG early speed.

Race is a "No Play" for me, still licking my wounds.. LOL.

5th: I'd love to clobber a 3-4 zackta box in this race... but (1) I ain't a "clobberer" that's a :nono: and & (2) no. 5 looks a bit ready in the prerace.

Think I'll box 3<->4 :)

Hmmm... USS Constitution. Just maybe this one will make up for not getting to run on Independence Day today. Liked what I saw from this one in it's last race. I already put this one in at it's 12/1 M.L. Chooo Chooo .. . oops, that's a train, not an air craft carrier. :s2:
Should be right there at the finish.

SOB, my 12/1 opened at 2/1 and ain't much different right now.

Good luck if you're playing this race, NY.

Crash this thread anytime you want to Giambi-Juice cause it's bullet proof.

I will check out Penn National for ya, but WARN YA, you may do better with a dart since that is one track I NEVER handicapped before. That's not good.

Maybe experience will prevail? Hope so.

small plays.. no. 7 with 1,4,8 top/bot.

adding nos. 2 and 3 on the side to Win, only.

edited: Man, that no. 7 a 15/1 was looking awfully good in that race. REAL good. And, at the last minute I did add that no. 2 to go with the no7 in the exactas. SHEET.. Anyway, enough on no. 2 to come out enough ahead for a BIG bag of boiled peanuts for this race.

UT OH.. hold on.. an inquiry.

Forget that.... the slow motion reply says that nuthin is gonna get changed.
No. 2 paid $14.20.

BTW, I normally play zacktas for $2, sometimes more. When I write "small plays" exactas are for ONE stinkin dollar. Straight bets (w,p.s.) are for $5 or multiples of $5.
