Give no. 10 in this 2nd race a shot at the good odds... straight across, exactas, tries.

Next playable is the 5th race, chime in if anybody's interested cause I'm running a little late today.

Be careful...

Be careful...

cause no. 7, the fav. (dangit) is a L@@KER. No. 10 looks good enough to play though.

Still 5+ mins. to post.

There ya go..

There ya go..

... another posted losah. Well, actually not that bad, lost the place photo but that photo wasn't necessary.

UT :0

Wait a minute, there's an OBJECTION :0034
.
.
Looks like it may not matter cause it's the 2nd hoss vs. the winah. :( UNLESS, they take the wiener WAY down. That ain't gonna happen.

I made a good choice for betting this wace, EXCEPT for my stinkin $1 wheel on no. 10 on top, only. My straight across play had the Show spot for 3x. Still won't be a profitable race though but a negligible lose.

Just came up - they just cancelled the foul claim, finish is 9-7-10; WOW, no. 10 paid $5.20 to show in this short field of 7 after scwatches and the two favorites finished 1st-2nd. Didn't expect that much of a show payout. Gotta luv this wace twack!

EDITED: should mention that there no. 10 did go off at 9/1 though. AND one mo thing, for my records, that there no. 10 went extremely wide on the first turn and due to that was dead last for the backstretch. Would've SURELY got the place if that didn't happen and MAYBE even the win?

Justa FYI

Justa FYI

No pick until the 5th, BUT I'd like to share something.... I do rate jockeys when I cap the waces and Edwin Rivera is one of them jockey's that usually has a pretty low % of wieners in the stats. I DON'T CARE ABOUT JOCKEY STATS... I always give a horse ridden by him a few extra points when I cap them. That doesn't mean the hoss he's on is automatic pick that's for sure. But, he can ride!

Mentioning this cause he is on some good ones today.

Don't ask me why I opened sep. threads for individual races

Don't ask me why I opened sep. threads for individual races

I don't have the answer for that one :mj03:

Another two stinkin favorites for the zacta in that freakin 8th race, say it AIN"T so, Hammy!

I BETTER find a BIG LOOKER in the 9th after that 8th race. Got dispatched in the 8th alright... . . .for about 4 or 5 times my usual bet for a race.
IF there ain't a LOOKER in the 9th then there ain't one. That's all.

Is it Tuesday yet?

Hate chalk winners (Unless I has them of course). Tuesday's are usually great at Philly. Especially those last couple races of the day.

Hiya, SwanDawg

Hiya, SwanDawg

What I REALLY hate is when there's a race with a decent size field and pretty competitive horsewise and the dang EXACTA is the two favorites. Philly has been a good track to stay away from favorites for years now but recently there have been WAY too many favorite exactas (both horses). When I write "playable races", a big factor behind that is because I think the race will produce a big payout (Esp. regarding exactas). I've never been proven to be so wrong about that part as I have the past month or so.

I agree with you, SD, about the late races. Usually it's the 6th race on where the races get very interesting at Philly. The last race is almost always a big, competitive field and if you check back for about a month you'll see WAY too many favorite exactas. Most of the time the last race is a maiden race and thems ain't for me.

Think I'll mosey over to your thread for Sat. and see how ya did at Saratoga. When I played N.Y. tracks, I took a vacation from horses when they went to Saratoga. I don't think that things changed from back then .... . . it was maidens galore (2yr. olds with high prospects) and thems ain't for me. It was hard for me to stay away from some of those BIG stake races they ran though; I can't argue that Toga was and prob. still is a great place for racing FANS and I was one back then but I couldn't afford to continually lose at that place. Aqueduct was my kinda wace twack :)

I had a pretty frustrating day with them Philly dirt bags on Sat.

Good luck to ya SwanDawg
