Pretty nice card for today but the best bet is that it ain't gonna beat Tue$ for excitement, for me anyways. This game does have it's ups and downs fosho.


Got up to the 6th race so far and there'll prob. be one more playable.

Race 3: No. 6, Tiger Willie, doesn't have the best of connections but this old timer is very consistent and looks best to me AND THE RATINGS. I'll be doing a little "magic trifecta" action (like 1-3-6 stuff). I'll be adding the no.7 in some of the tries as well.

Race 4: Looking to nail a pricey exacta in this race so that means playing mucho exactas. Like 2,3 top/bot 6,7 and 1 top/bot 2,3,6,7. No side action in this race.

Race 6: :director: may I have your attention, pleeze, "THE NO. 8 HOSS IN THIS RACE HAS THE HIGHEST RATING OF ANY HOSS THAT I'VE HANDICAPPED SINCE FIGURING THEM OUT THIS WAY, EVER!. That means about 4 or 5 years now. HIGH rating doesn't mean the horse is a superstar; it just means that it's a SUPERstar in the race it's in vs. the other horses .

Doesn't matter though cause I'm interested in another one of them there 45/1 shots again in this wace. That would be no. 9, Cool it. Those odds ain't a stretch either cause almost nobody ever bets on this hoss. Of course it would be a miracle to hit two of them on two consecutive days too; and add one semi-miracle -> that Cool IT gets off to a decent start too cause that is a must happen for this hoss to win this race. Hmmm ... the biggest miracle of all would be if this plick wins and the bastages take it down.

4th: Result was 2-7-1; maybe trifectas woulda been a better choice? I'll take the $42.40 zackta though

Sheet, when I went over the card I had that no. 1 (and the no. 4) circled for the 5th. I don't remember why I decided it was an unplayable race, UGH. I'm sure I woulda had that nice exacta too, you know - both inside posts in a two turner and a jockey that I rate as top notch even though his percentages don't show it (Rivera). If I hadda pick between the 1 and the 4, my choice woulda been no.1 ESP. with the 10/1 odds that cone came with it.
I know this kinda thing happens to all hossplayers.

OK, on to the 6th, a more interesting race.

No sense writing how many one STINKIN dollar tickets I had on that particular combination.. only that there were enough to add to the 4th to make me think about wrapping it up for today. I also played that "COOL" hoss pretty good across the board with a 3x for the show spot.
Getting greedy for more winnahs after getting more than a days worth is usually a losing proposition.

Not sure about playing the 8th which is the last playable wace for today; I still gotta do the figuring (approx. 30 mins. worth). Won't post anything since I gotta rush and there ain't anybody around except plenty of "Guests". Do you answer your phone when it sez, "from INCOMING CALL, Cell Phone, or Unknown Caller"?

Thanks, Hammy, Let's Have Fun. Really happy about my last two cyberspace "trips" to Philly, last Tue$ and today.

The best news is that the RATINGS are doing GREAT and top rated horses are winning the races that I'm not playing as well as those that I am. That there no. 9, Cool hoss, was mostly a personal pick and wasn't rated on top. BTW, that hoss only went off at 20/1

I sure hope there ain't any WHALES among our "guests". :nono: Prob. not though cause thems woulds lost all their moola on the plicks I had 2 or 3 weeks ago. :mj07:

Of course, this streak PROB. won't last long though.. but I sure wish it does get to Tue$ Certainly NOT looking for any weather/track cancellations while it's gong on.

Hope you two are doing fine during the terrible weather over 80% of the country... brrr!

TODAY IS SUNDAY, MARCH 1 .

All is see in my name all over the place and I ain't gonna make another thread for today so I'll just write today's plick (no "s") for TODAY here.

1st wace: TOP rated hoss was no. 6, who won the race ($6.80). Made an excellent move by skipping the zackta bit and just going heavier on a Win/Place bet. Did this cause I suspected that a light paying zackta was on the way for this result and was right about that. Reason for going that route was on account of what I wrote in my last post - TOP rated hosses are winning lately. My exacta route woulda been no. 6 with 3 other hosses which woulda resulted in an overall LOSS for this race. Going the Win/Place route resulted in adding another piece of the rock in my pocket for starters for today

Ok, next up is the 4th race.... .. Two horses are tied for top rating, nos. 3 and 7. However, my plays are gonna be nos 6 and 7 to WIN and no. 6 top/bot 1,2,5,7. That's NOT a typo.

More playables ahead and I gotta go over a late race yet so I'll be rushing a bit. That means I won't be typing to myself but I should be able to summarize how I did today later. IF, by some miracle somebody reads this and can type - I'll try to stop in later to see if anybody's interested and should be able to post somethng, HOPEFULLY before the race starts.

Coulda done better cause there were ONLY two L@@KERs , nos. 1 and 2 and BOTH of them REALLY were GOOD L@@KERS. I had those two DOUBLE underlined cause thems LOOKED sooo good. That was the reason for my 3 stinkin dollars on each of them; who woulda thunk they'd finish 1st and 2nd with the nos. 9 and 10 in that race? Oh well.

I guess just catching the wiener is gonna have to be good enough
