Didn't realize how many people actually play along with some of the pick
Well, just to give some of the newbies to this thread what you're your following - had profitable yrs. 2008, 9 and 10. Think it was 2009 that was REALLY profitable, think that was the year I had 3 winnahs (just picked to win) that paid $90+ to WIN and hit them within a 2 month period. TWO of them were posted right here, check the archives if available. One of them won by open lengths and got disqualified for swerving in the stretch. Betta believe I remember the horse, jockey and race for that one. Man, did that ever SUCK. That's pretty dang good for somebody who very rarely plays horses with them kind of odds.
Don't remember how I did in 2011. 2012 was a mild losah and last yr. was a losah after being well ahead for the first half of the yr. Prior few yrs. I played Suffolk and Philly and those yrs. were losing efforts. These days I follow ONE track and follow it REAL close like.
Ah BTW, I don't wanna remember how I did in the years before those
That's that... don't care for today's card as much as yesterday's... hmm, and yesterday was a losing day! :scared
Actually, yesterday's picks weren't all that bad.. 2 of those 3 longshot hunches finished 2nd and 3rd with nice payoffs for those spots. The final bet for that race was 1,2 top/bot with 3 ,5,6 and the finish was 1,2,3 .
That "Love" horse at 20/1 in the 5th ran better than a normal 20/1 and you can't go bananas on a LONGshot like that.
7th race pick dead heated for second place. And the 9th was based on Lookers not capping.
Today's dirt bombs
3rd Wace:
no. 5, Air Alaska, top/bot (zacks) w. 1,2,4. I got a good look at Alaska's last two races and liked the way this one ran. This horse is improving. With a M.L. of 9-2, I'm not gonna just go with the exactas; I'm also gonna play the 5 in straight wagers as well just in case I screw up putting the zackta nos. together, like yesterday.
5th: Spent plenty of time with this "playable" race and gave up. IMO, you cannot bet anything in this race with any confidence and a small payoff is likely.
6th Wace:
6,8 top/bot w. 1,5 ... AND... side action on no. 4 to win, only.
7th Wace:
My figures/heavy duty analysis (
) gots two horses in this race WAY above the others... nos. 1 and 9. I'm thinking of wheeling no. 9 with a bunch of the others and hitting no. 1 with 5x normal bet sizes for win/place and more than that for show. No. 1 is a consistent dirt bag with a very good jockey and post and it's a VALUE play today. I'm luvin that M.L. of 12/1 on no. 1 but I don't think this one will actually go off with those odds. Not sure how I'll bet this race, but I will, fosho, have 1,9/1,2,4,9/1,4,6,9 (that's no mistake) in 1 stinkin dollar trifectas going on the side. Cost for them is a "bargain" at $14.
Dat's it!
Good Luck and enjoy the footsball.
