OF COURSE, all is well with the internet for today; a day with only 2 stinkin playable races.

Going to take my chances and post exactly what I'll be playing so I can tellyas how much I won and have the dang thangs POSTED here. Err.. that is IF I win anything.

4th race: More than 2 stinkin dollar tickets on zacks: 2,7 top/bot 3,5 AND one stinkin dollar on no. 1 top/bot 2,3,5,7. That set with the no. 1 has a good chance to still make the race profitable if the first set (2,7 t/b 3,5) fails. The bettors consistantly give that no. 1 horse less credit that she deserves.

8th race: Interlesting indeed. Anybody who can read a pp knows that it's telling you that no. 1 is the winnah of this wace. Horse is ultra consistant alright when it comes to hitting the board, but this one is even more consistant at NOT winning waces. Plymouth Square is 1 for 23 at Philly; a pure money burner for Win bettors. I'm thinking/hoping Plymouth can avoid the winner's circle one mo time today.

I'm lovin my top rated hoss for this race, No. 7 Call Tiger (8/1). And I'm LIKING my 3rd rated horse, no. 8 mostly cause the no. 7 is a bit of a losah himself (actually ITself, po thang). That is, he losses his jockey and losses contact with the field once in a while. But, if it can pull off a trouble-free race - this hoss should be right there at the finish methinks.

I'm gonna wait till I see them and bet either - the safe bet ---> no. 7 win/place/show@3x and prob. with $10 bills (bankaroo is LARGE these days). Or, the riskier play that could really produce some greenbacks.... zacks, 7,8 top/bot 1,2,4 (bigger bets with the 7,8 on top) and a side order of no. 8 win/place cause poopoo can happen. M.L. on no. 8 is 5/.1 and I think it may go a bit higher. Of course, I'll throw in a small ticket on 7<-->8 boxed as insurance against getting a RED HOT ass burner result.

BTW, men's final at Wimbledon today. Games played OVER 42 games (-130). And/or the very nice prop job..... De Joker commits more double faults (-180)

G.L. y'awl.

Can you believe it?

Can you believe it?

I CAN believe that I went for $50 to $60 on this race... 7 or 8 was on every ticket. Wheeled and dealed the no. 7 and kinda HEAVY on no. 8 in straight betting. :(

It'll happen almost EVERY time. I just gotta stick to the "chipping away" bit which works for me. You know, one or mostly two dollar zotics and up to $5 or a bit more on straight wagers. Tries are always 1 dollar. That's all.

BTW, the no. 1 went off at 9/5 and finished somewhere around the 7 or 8. (Actually, no. 8 got 3rd ($3.80) and I had that one Win/Place "a-plenty". Doesn't matter much anyway.

Smart bettors know that "going for the gusto" is NOT the thing to do and here's a great example of that "commandment".

But it sho does feel good when that works, doesn't it? And, for me, I'll do it again cause I do keep those blunders few and far in between. I know that SOMEday I'm gonna nail one of them decent Philly payoffs BIG TIME (for me, that is) due to a bigger than usual bet size. But there's NO WAY of making a habit of that risky business.

Is it Tue$ yet :mj07:
