Before the season started I kind of had San Jose and Boston as sleeper picks to have a good regular season but after watching most teams play I have to say that I am most impressed with Phoenix. They have a lot of good young players with skill. I think their personnel department has made some great moves to get guys like Hrdina and Tanabe to compliment the young corps of talent that they had in place. I really like to refrain from riding a single team too much but Phoenix definitely has caught my eye thus far.
Phoenix has a good squad.

phx:thefinger ...i don't think they will be close to making the playoffs personally..mind u i didn't watch the game tonight so i am biasing my opinion soley on the pre season/last year
my sleeper picks are panthers/flames...were thrashers but without heatly i don't think they will make the dance...might finish 10th though
plus if the cat is still in boston they aren't going anywere either

i like panthers myself and sabres.
Burke can steal games and with good young players, I can see phoenix winning some games as underdogs. just like tonight.
