We just move in and the phucking A/C ain't working!!!

150 phucking degrees in Knoxville and the air goes out!!!!

Can I catch a break......just one!!!!!

I went outside and the fan is turning on the big unit and appears to be running fine but no air is coming through the floor vents or any vents.

I don't know shit about A/C's except to change the air filter once a month.

Probably checking into a hotel tonight.

Gotta have my A/C.

Any input appreciated. I turned off everything at the thermostat.

I had to do that Woody, laugh to keep from cryin'.

No clue what a capacitor is or where it is.

Thanks though. Hope you've been doing well.

Ok...update.

1st, I'm soaking wet from the humidity!!!

Woody, I took a look inside the unit with the flashlight and the black thing is covered thick with ice. The copper tubing running either in or out is totally covered in ice as well. The opposite side is not covered in ice.

I'm going to let it thaw out overnight and fire back up in the morning I guess.

Do you think that's wise?

copper tubing should be insulated and taped twice. Your compressor froze so you are probably low on refrigerant. You can service it yourself fairly easily.

In the shadows
I seems that your entire area is getting the high hard one when it comes to some sort of power issue.

Check on your neighbors, hydrate, drink pickle juice, and hydrate again ! Stock up on pedialyte ! Repeat as needed !

Good Luck !

Obviously the ice has melted and everything looks good inside.

Started it and checked vents and still no air is coming through the vents?

Where's the air going?

I'm so aggravated!
