I know a lot of guys here at madjacks love to fade what Joe Public likes.
* Everytime I saw someone talking about "joe public or squares" makes me think what are we. I mean (well at least me) we are not sharp guys who makes a line move up or down, the only difference is that we are degenerates bastards that gambles day after day, but that doesnt make us sharp or wise guys IMO.

I believe the Yahoo Pickem is straight up and not against the spread.

Joe Public reacts to who they think will win the game and not who will cover. That is the differance between them and us. Hopefully.

Every Yahoo pick em I have played in either NCAA of NFL has been against the spread.

Can somone verify if what Jessy posted is ATS or not?

Always seemed to me that the ProPickem contest on Yahoo was based on straight up winners and not the spread.

Huge favorites (of a TD or more) always get 75% of the votes, or more. Close lines are split 50-50.

I don't even see the spreads listed anywhere.

The yahoo pick em league that I played in was ATS (closing line as of Thursday) and then you gave confidence points based upon that line (1-15). E.g. if team X was your lock of the week ATS then you would give them a value of 15 for your confidence points and so on. Then the score of each person was based upon making the right call ATS and then how many confidence points you attributed to a particular team. I believe the confidence points are a choice when you set up the league.
