The New Jersey Nets attempt to sweep the Cleveland Cavaliers for the first time in 19 years when they conclude their four-game series at Gund Arena on Tuesday. The Nets have not swept the Cavaliers since the 1982-83 season, when they won all six meetings. At the time, New Jersey was in the middle of a 16-game winning streak against Cleveland. The Cavs had won four in a row against the Nets entering this season, but New Jersey posted home wins on November 10 and December 7 and edged Cleveland at Gund Arena, 91-89, on December 26. New Jersey has won back-to-back games following a season-high four-game losing streak, including an 87-76 win at Memphis on Sunday for its first road triumph since February 21 over Washington. Kenyon Martin is back today after serving a one-game suspension for committing his seventh flagrant foul, two over the limit, against Miami.
