The Philadelphia 76ers seek a sweep of their season series with the Miami Heat when the teams meet Wednesday in the final game of a home-and-home set. Philadelphia defeated Miami, 91-79, Tuesday as Allen Iverson scored 33 points. The NBA leader in points, minutes and steals per game, Iverson made 11-of-28 shots and 8-of-11 free throws, adding eight rebounds, four assists and three steals.
"It was just important to get a win, period," Iverson said. "It's tough because the first one is their game at home and if you steal that one, hopefully you have momentum going into your house. Hopefully, we'll take advantage of this."
Derrick Coleman played through a knee injury to score 20 points for the Sixers (35-31), who have won four straight road games and eight of 11 overall. They are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
Eddie Jones scored 23 points and Alonzo Mourning added 21 for Miami (30-35), which fell 2 1/2 games behind Charlotte in the race for the East's final playoff berth.
