Here's some taken by a friend of mine. The two dogs are mine. The girl is not. My wife was stuck in Philly all weekend leaving me at home with my whisky and my Hustlers. :D

It doesn't really capture the depth of the snow, but you can see it up over the wheel wells of the cars.

The Snow Shots

That's me with the shovel in the Carhartt. My street is 3 car widths wide, one way, and people park on both sides. There's absolutely no where to put all the snow. It's almost impossible to get in or out.

They haven't plowed but the whole hood was out there with shovels yesterday taking her down to the asphalt.

#1 is me standing in the middle of the street. If my feet were on the asphalt, it would be up to my thighs.

The border collie is carrying around his soccer ball. I was throwing it in 6' drifts for him to retrieve. The big dog is an Akita. He goes about a buck even.

Oh yeah -- City of Baltimore. I believe they officially declared it the most snow ever.

Wyman Park. It stretches along a park and Hopkins intramural fields.

Hampden (white working class) is to the West. Remington (white working class) is to the South. Roland Park (white upper class) to the North, and Johns Hopkin's U (main campus, not medical campus) to the East.

So, its pretty well buffered from the blight in Baltimore.

Wyman Park used to be more like Hampden, but its now more middle class and getting more middle/upper with each new buyer.

That Akita is a real alpha. Everywhere someone else has peed, he pees on top of it. He tries to pee higher up on things than anyone else too.

He'll pee on anything protruding, like if someone made a snowman, or a jump for the sledding trail, or the wall of a fort. Anything.

We can go out for a walk and I bet he takes 50 pees.
