LOS ANGELES DODGERS -150 - Let?s call this a ?correction? game. The Dodgers handed Suppan his first loss of the season last Sunday, and I think that this will be a beginning of a slide for him, as he has been pitching far above his career numbers. While he still sports a nifty 1.89 ERA with an excellent ratio of 1.11, remember that Suppan has still has a lifetime ERA of 4.93 with a 1.43 ratio in 195 Major League games, so I feel that he is now ready to revert to his normally mediocre form. Besides, he has had several brief brilliant stretches like this throughout his career, only to frustrate his owners by getting bombed in his next few outings. On the other hand, Dreifort deserves a better fate than his current 1-3 record. He appears to be back near the form he had before his arm surgery, as he has a fine 3.77 ERA and 1.32 ratio in 31 innings. To show just how healthy he has been, he has recorded 33 strikeouts in those 31 innings! I think it is about time the Dodgers give him some run support so that he could start getting the victories he deserves.
