I just think that Pitt is the play here...the should have pulled the upset at Nebraska and these trends solidly support them this week:

Rutgers is 4-17 ATS after a bye week and 1-9 ATS in a Big East Home Opener...Rutgers is 3-19 Su vs Pitt and 9-13 ATS...Rutgers is also 1-7 SU and 2-6 ATS on games played during the week.

I'm leaning toward Pitt...but I don't know if I can trust Wannestadt's coaching to get the job done on the road.

Any thoughts from the board??

I watch every snap of Rutgers. I'm a glutton for punishment. Pitt will need 30 points to win. Rutgers can move the ball on anyone. I spend a lot of time around New Brunswick and the kids are juiced to be on espn prime time. Pitt can't beat this team unless they choose to open up the offense and try to score.

Both coaches are horrible in game decision makers. Rutgers has a great running back and fullback in Leonard. The receiving corps is good and if hart can avoid the picks, he should have open men all night.

Thanks for the quick responce Clem...I know the book on Qb Hart is he has a ton of talent but those INT's seem to bring him down...I saw Rutgers play last year but not this season up to now...those eye popping trends had me really leaning toward Pitt...but I think your right about Rutgers being juiced up for this big prime time game and I may stay away from this one all together unless I'm swayed toward Pitt for any other solid reasons.

Clem's right...2 bone-headed Homer Simpsonesque head coaches in Wannabestedt and Schiano.

Rut has too many options on O but their erratic OL holds them back - along w/ Schiano and Steeg.

Both of you have Hart right - a decent arm but a propensity to throw the pick.

It'll come down to who runs the ball better...I'm betting that it's Rutgers.

Pitt will sure try to establish the ground game.I'd rather have Palko hand the ball off. Has Whinestedt depleted Palko's confidence yet?

I'm taking Pitt here against all common sense simply because I think the lines have adjusted way too far against Pitt thereby giving them some value - and, overall, I think Pitt has the better talent top to bottom. The only question is whether the angel of death that hovers over Dave's head will strike again?

I think I'll stay away from this one because I think Pitt is the better all around team but they may be entering a "hornets nest" at Rutgers tonight.

I don't like anything about this game.

Think I'll stay out of this one.

That's probably the smartest play tonight...wait until tomorrow...right?

I am going to wait until HT and see if I can get a good line then.
