Pitt Panthers . . .

Not ready to pull the trigger yet but the panthers are in a nice spot to make a move in the acc standings today. With losses yesterday by nc state, miami and syracuse, pitt can move up two spots to sixth, one game behind the heels, who still have to play duke (and lost to pitt during the season). A lot will depend on how wake responds to the shellacking they took from virginia but the deacs have nothing to play for tournamentwise.

Ever have one of those games where you travel full circle? Thats where I've been to eventually land on the deacs here. No worse feeling in betting than to get off a winner in favor of a loser but watching the panthers become one of the day's most popular tickets despite a suspect road record this year has converted me. Also a few things I initially overlooked that support the reversal - that reference to the loss in charlottesville I editted out above actually occurred at joel, pitt's road defense and rebounding stats are horrible, and this is their first-ever trip to winston-salem.
