That's why I hate the bs call. Even if they make the FG, we have plenty of time and all 3 timeouts. Just total crap....hate to blame it on that but it was huge.

Cost us over a minute of time, 2 timeouts, and a MUCH easier FG. Great game and it ended on that. Just completely tainted game. I want to see if the guy can hit a 42-yarder and if we can get in FG range with 2+ mins left, etc.

He's started I think 31 games....and that's one reason I want his experience next year. But yeah, he's awful. I said that after the NC State game and people talked about good he played in the 1st half.

He has his moments but he's so damn inconsistent. I know it was a tough situation on that last drive but I agree he's not a very good QB.

really....all he needed was 25 fricking yards to be in fg range

there were lots of fuck ups but while yates sucks, john shoop is a fucking loser.....he lost the game on the drive before when he callled for multiple pass plays after unc was ramming the ball down pitt throat and had 1st and 10 at the 30.....3 plays later they were punting on 4th and 27 thanks to sacks....why was he calling pass plays???

3 more runs would have netted a td, first down, or a fg attempt

I agree to an extent....at the same time, I don't trust Barth outside of 40 yards.

That means he needed 40 yards with a defense knowing you are passing.

At the same time, we agree....Yates is not the answer. Overall I like Shoop but agree....this is a tough loss for so many reasons.

I just can't believe they didn't call false start on the FG.
