Pitt (-7) over G'Town
Pitt should destroy (IMO) a terrible Hoya team. Perhaps if there was a game coming up where the panthers were looking past G'town I can see the 7 points, but they have almost a full week off before taking on Cuse. Emotionally Georgetown has to be low, a loss to St. Johns and then a buzzer beater 3 to loss against Syracuse.
Pitt is ranked in the top 10 in the nation in scoring defense, allowing just 56.9 points per game. The Hoyas are 1-10 this season when held to 70 or less. They've averaged just 57.5 points during their current four-game losing streak, and shot just 28 percent from the field in Saturday's loss. Inside the Panthers are too strong and the guard play will be too quick for the hoyas. Gerald Riley is the best weapon G?Town has and the defense of Pitt will look to take him out of the game.
Home court advantage at MCI (said this before) is a wash. No emotion because the building is too big and G?Towns fan base is too small to get the MCI center rocking. In the game against Cuse, there was not a lot of noise. If you can?t get up for a game against a ranked Big East rival tied with 5 seconds when can you?:shrug:
