D2, are there any stats to show this as a profitable play? The fading the sweep play?

Guys talk about it on here all the time, and I have always felt this was a worthless angle in baseball.

Not at all trying to rag on you, just genuinely curious why this angle is always referenced

Over the last ten season, teams playing in a four game series after losing the first three are 147-195 SU (-9.1% ROI). Same parameters in a three game series, teams are 1394-1526 SU (-1.2% ROI). The run line in both situations also returns negative value.

No problem Jord. Not so much a "Non-Sweep" play on Pittsburgh yesterday as it was more of a "Gut-Play". Pirates are fighting to win their Division & need to beat the below average teams like Colorado. It's not like the Pirates were in a slump after the first couple of games in this series collecting 20 hits in those too losses. Had a few #'s to back this selection as well but I just thought that Pittsburgh was the better team & still do. Sorry they lost but today is the start of what I hope will be a WINNING$$$ week!!! :yup

Best of Luck My Friend!!!:0008
