Pittsburgh's Heinz Field is a joke

I posted this in the college forum on Friday and now it is even more relevant.

Why in the world would a city like Pittsburgh with an elite NFL franchise and a beautiful new stadium still have real turf in this day and age.

Especially in their climate and when they use the field for all these high school and other college games.

Makes no sense especially since the new turf they have now is so good and almost lke the real thing:shrug: :shrug:

Just a shame, and just think this stadium is only a few years old too. This like buying a mercedes with plastic wheels, no a/c, am radio only, and you get my drift. You put all this in a nice stadium and ruin it with a cheap field.

Gotta agree. Spent my childhood, teen, and early adult life in 3 Rivers and even though it was ugly it was home. Moved to Fla year before Heinz was built, been there a few times since but the turf has always been nasty. Rooney will not spend the extra money on field turf though :shrug:
