I'll hit on a few...

Yes, the trip is worth it - walking into the place, you can just feel the history. It is a lot like walking into the old Yankee stadium for the 1st time. If I remember right, the game is a Monday night game - night games are awesome.

Yes, rent a car. That will allow you to tailgate - which people will be doing by 3:00 to 4:00 pm, if not earlier.

You can fly into GB (Austin Straubel airport), but it may be cheaper to fly into Milwaukee and drive up (about 2 hour drive). Look into Midwest Airlines - they have the most direct flights into and out of Milwaukee (although I'm not sure where you are coming from - I think somewhere in Ohio?)

There is also a nice indian casino not far from the stadium.....

Hotels? Good Luck - usually all hotels are booked up for a 30-50 miile radius once the schedule comes out early in the year. Your best bet? Start calling around to see if any have had cancellations - if not, start putting your name on their lists, in case of future cancellations.

Tickets? Any way you can get them is fine. I would suggest trying business contacts. I would want to sit between the 40's, about 20-30 rows up. Of course, those are the toughest.

It is an experience - we take it for granted here, as we are used to it. Obviously, I'm biased, but it is quite the experience.

Jack,

Let's do a Tailgate Party. I've got a few meetings this morning but I'll answer your questions above later this afternoon.

I'm a season ticket holder and been in GB my whole life.

For starters Jack, you may want to call the Radisson across the street from Austin Straubel Airport. It's connected to the Oneida Casino.

I'd camp out overnight to get the real experience

my backyard...

You can fly into Green Bay airport and be minutes from the stadium. There are no real upscale hotels in the area. Grab a room anywhere you can within the Green bay city limits. There is a Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden Inn within 5 miles of the stadium.

If you fly into Milwaukee, which is usually much much cheaper, you will need to get a car rental and drive north up I-43 to Green Bay. It's about a 2 hour drive straight north. easy drive.

Oneida Casino - they have a poker room. softest most retarded games i've seen. they spread a 1/3 $300 buy in there and post packer games they usually get a 3/5 game going. The 1/3 game is ridiculously soft. played it last weekend and watched 2 people rack up close to 3k in 5 hours - if you can play decent poker, you can beat the game for 4-5 buyins pretty easily any night of the week.
The poker room is on Mason Street and NOT at the main Oneida casino across from the airport.

Since it will be December when you will be there, expect snow. expect cold. There's not a lot to do other than ice fishing.

Make sure to were Purple, and and and all Ravens clothing. Especially if tailgating... they love it!

I remember years back going there on a Thursday night game with San Fran coing into town. The year after GB lost in San Fran in the playoffs. The palce was a rockin, and I was wearing a Sna Fran sweatshirt. Not even a San Fran but I had one, and I hate the Packers so might as well. I heard numerous unthinkable comments, but felt nothing as I could have cared less. But, the more the game went on, the more people were stumbling over people to yell at me! LMAO!!

All in all, great experience. I only felt somewhat uncomfortable on the way out, too much attention from the drunks, and some way to beliigerent at too close of a range if you know what I mean.

PS: I was at Sanf / Fran MN last week with the Favre miralce, and I will be at this Monday nighter as well!! Skol Vikings!!!!! :00hour :00hour

Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!
Wow, the boss is coming to grace us with his prescence! :scared

:mj06: "Let's get this party started in here!" :mj06:

No doubt you will need to do the tailgate experience!
Start as soon as the gates open, get setup, and then let 'er rip:11jackson

Better yet, you and your posse stay at my place and we will take the limo there and do it right. :00hour . I will need a ticket however, but I know some of the ticket brokers personally, so if you want I could make a few calls for you. Let me know more of your plan and party :director:

There is nothing like the Frozen Tundra in December, get ready for some Football like it should be... :Kid1:

No one mention the Packer Hall of Fame. Man if you can leave enough time to go. It,s right there at stadium. Must say it,s the best one after Canton. I agree been to both. I rate this new one better then packs old one.

On the course!
Well......I sold my tix already, so I can't help you, Bud.

I kinda hate the "rat-race" of going to the games, unless it's a playoff game.

I think you will have a good time if you go, though.

I work that weekend anyway.......so going would have been hard for me.

Hope everything pans out!

9 times outta 10 in Green Bay, you will be offered a beer and a brat outside the stadium, even while wearing the other teams rags. I can promise you this almost to a man:

If you know someone who tells you otherwise......he was a dick out there.

any tips on planning this thing?

i know there are a few suggestions posted but anybody else have anything?

what airport would YOU fly into? i don't mind a 2 drive at all. i'd rather not have the hassle of a car but if it's better to have it, then i'll have one.

should i spend all day sunday in MIL or should i stay sunday and all day monday in GB?

what is there to do when i won't be attending the game? all day sunday and monday. this is a MNF game.

i'm gonna book this thing soon.

thanks

Two options for tix...

Ebay has always treated me right. I've probably used them 15-20 times without any problems.

For years we would go up with a group and were always able to scalp on gameday or on the night before when you're out and about.

One unreal small exhibit at the HOF. They have these big wood splinters that were taken from Jerry Kramer's stomach due to an accident he had.

GL

Oh yeah, the tix we scalped were for the Bears game which has typically been the hardest ticket to get your hands on.
