Love the dogs today! Let's start with this one:

Cubs +110

The Cubs will be better than people think this year. Their starting rotation can compete with just about anyone. The Mets should also be improved this year, but I think it will take some time for the players to adjust to Art Howe's style. Tough to go against Glavine, but I'll take a shot.

Pirates +125

Pittsburgh will be one of the most improved teams in baseball this year. Free agents Lofton, Sanders and Simon were great additions. I think the Pirates will win more games than the Reds in 2003.

Let's go Cubbies, bring home the cash!

Thanks Kirk, but it's not over yet! Stranger things have happened in the game of baseball. Remember the Mariners/Indians game a couple of years ago? Seattle was leading by 10 runs in the 7th inning and lost the game!

Good work Cap

Madjack is waiting for two weeks to watch some pitcher rotations.
That takes dicipline but is the best advise ever in baseball if you can do it.

It really is hard to jump right in. Damn the Cubbies hit Glavine hard and just kept it up today whomping the Mets. Glavine only goes 4 innings before he is yanked. He is not the same pitcher as in the past.

I think Glavine is going to pressure himself and in his next start get hammered again especially if its a good offensive team he is pitching against.

Nice start.

Scott,

Whether you dive right in or wait a couple weeks, it's all about doing your homework and getting the necessary breaks. You can't control the game, but you can control being fully prepared for each and every wager you make. Good luck this season!
