Hmmm Famu Rattlers against Niagara Purple Somethings..............somebody on the committee really doesn't like the MAAC, and with due respect to Box; I can't say I saw a lot in this conference this year. Still, Purple Somethings deserved to be in the original field of 64, not in the play-in game. Now comes FAMU, a team that scored a whopping 33 points against Miami Ohio. They played a decent pre-season schedule, but didn't come close to any of the so-called upper echelon teams. If you ask me, Niagara -8.5 is a gift. I think Purple Aces will play hard, and use this slight as a boost. Their losses earlier in the season had a lot to do with suspensions. They won their last 11 games, and although the team doesn't play much defense, I don't think FAMU will be close. Niagara should cover comfortably!! Niagara did oust Liberty and Holy Cross.

I'm looking at some curious NIT lines. I can't imagine Marist getting 10 from Okie St, Hoftra getting 10', and will Syracuse really come out fired up to lay the hammer down on South Alabama?? Hmmmmmm

Good Luck!

Niagara -8' (8 units)..........

Coming from someone who looks for attention by giving 10 unit plays with no opinion............

Best of luck stwoody, The Purple should be alittle pissed at this point......

Added NIT GAMES:

Utah St. +8 (5 units)..........3 units on the ML +300

Delaware St. +23 (4 units).............I don't see Miss St. winning this by more than 20

UMASS -6' (5 units).........Alabama's dissapointment continues. Horrible road team, and I think they will be relieved to have the season over.

Toledo +11' (5 units)........FSU could clobber Toledo, but we've seen dissapointed teams simply not show up before. Wouldn't be surprised to see Toledo win this.

*I see a lot of people of FAMU............not going to try and change anyones desision, but I can't back a team that lost by 39 to Maryland, 19 to Miami, Ohio, 21 to Illinois, 32 to Bradley, 18 to Illinois, Chicago, 15 to Florida, 26 to Pitt,

Oak St.

Oak St.

Hey Woody....I gotta go against you on that Marist call. I think Oak St, wins by 15 to 20 points. Marist doesn't have anyone who can stop their 2 big men. I thought 10 was a gift for Oak St.
But good luck anyway!

I never played it, and if Okie St shows up, your right, they should blow them out of the water. I haven't been impressed with the Cowboys this year, although they have been solid at home. First thought was too many points for Cowboys, but I looked a little closer. My question mark is Cowboys motivation as that loss to Texas took them out of the NCAA equation. It is hard to motivate kids to get over the letdown of not making the tourn. Of course Marist was let down too, so its a no play.........Marist has some size with 7ft Smith, and Jordan can ball. If I had a better read on how Cowboys will respond to 2nd year dissapointment, and leadership of Coach Sean Sutton. Good Luck on your play!
