leans: 72-46
best bets: 15-5

first of all, this is an early lean and i am on it already. and also qualifies as an early best bet! chiefs are rested .colts dismantled the broncos last week. but lets go back a couple weeks prior when broncos played in indy on espn primetime. colts looked horrible for a team getting ready for the play-offs. there defense looked pathetic and i really believe last weeks demolishing over denver was indy's last play-of game this year. manning is known to not play up to his capabilities in the play-offs. colts got the big w last week, but not this week. as they travel to arrow head, one of the loudest places to play in. chiefs have not played well after there 1st loss, but have played very well there last 2 games. and rememebr 1 thing., teams that go far into the play-offs are the ones that play well at the end of the year. last week i had 2 early leans on tennesse and the under. both winners. well this week im not letting this one get away.

(5x)
kansas city -3 (best bet)

GL-MIZE;)

and go chef's like senor capper, and kc wolf would say:)

Tough game. K.C. has the edge in special teams.
Both offenses are about equal, but I give the defensive edge to the Colts.

If they play with the same passion that they did against Denver, then Indy will come away with a win in my mind. Should be a shootout, but Indy is more capable of stopping K.C.

GL with you play.

sure they have the better d. but where was it at the end of the year? only reason this line is at -3 is because of last weeks win over denver. if it wasnt so lopsided, i feel this line would be -4 or even -4'? last weeks win over denver was a pay-back game. the emotions wont be there this week. gl on ur play

tough tough game.
can see it from both angles.

i couldnt back the team with arguably the worst defense of any team in the playoffs.

however, there is no way in hell i would back peyton manning in a road playoff game (41-0 last yr is an indelible scoreboard image in my mind)

cant blame you for going with the cheifs at home. theyve been nails at arrowhead this year.

good game regardless.

Like the play....I think the rest plus the homefield will be the difference. I expected this line to be about 5.5 or so, and probably would have been a play for me then. 3 is a number that I am very happy to get in this spot.

"chiefs have not played well after there 1st loss, but have played very well there last 2 games.and rememebr 1 thing., teams that go far into the play-offs are the ones that play well at the end of the year."

Chiefs

Nov 16 @Cincinnati Lost 19-24
Nov 23 Oakland Won 27-24
Nov 30 @San Diego Won 28-24
Dec 7 @Denver Lost 27-45
Dec 14 Detroit Won 45-17
Dec 20 @Minnesota Lost 20-45
Dec 28 Chicago Won 31-3

4-3 down the stretch

Colts

Nov 16 N.Y. Jets Won 38-31
Nov 23 @Buffalo Won 17-14
Nov 30 New England Lost 34-38
Dec 7 @Tennessee Won 29-27
Dec 14 Atlanta Won 38-7
Dec 21 Denver Lost 17-31
Dec 28 @Houston Won 20-17
Jan 4 Denver Won 41-10

6-2 down the stretch

I give the edge here to the Colts - 2 losses coming from playoff teams. Not only have the Chiefs lost a few games down the stretch but they also struggled with Oakland and San Diego (the worst 2 teams in the league).

jmizeus, I respect your "best bet" record but disagree with you here.

Colts +3.5:cool:

I LOVE this play mize....

i could have sworn this team was undefeated for quite a while...

they are a completely different team at home than on the road..especially defensively....

indy spent a lot of emotion on sunday...due to a number of factors...

BEST of lUCK my friend ..ill be on it with you

seems like i have some mixed feeling here on this play?
how about these numbers?

kansas city is 8-0 s/u @ home this year
kansas city is 6-2 ats @ home this year
kansas city has won 13 straight home games
kansas city is 9-3-1 ats during that span

dome teams are 6-26 s/u in the play-offs when playing outdoors
dome teams are 10-21-1 ats when playing outdoors in the play-offs

any mixed feeling still? dick vermeil will have the big red ready to go this week-end.

jmizeus:

i dont blame you at all for playing the chiefs.

the only reason i cant do it : defense

kansas city 4th worst in the entire nfl

everything else points to going anti-manning and playing the chiefs.

gl with your bet. trust me, i sure as hell wont be playing manning and the colts. just dont trust the kc defense enough to back them either.

"the bunker"
all i can say is

all i can say is

indy is 7-1 straight up on the road.......that`s enough for me to stay away from this.....that, the fact that edgerrin james seems to be getting stronger as he moves farther away from his knee injury.....and brandon stokely gives the colts another big time weapon.....and i think they have the better all-round defense....

on a neutral field,i believe the colts are at least 3 point faves....that makes this a 6 point home field advantage...

i`m not "under-valuing" the chiefs home field advantage.....the colts just make me very uncomfortable here....i think they are the better club..one thing that gives me pause is the fact that indy put up 40 last week....usually that`s a great go against the following week in the pros......and i suspect that peyton will throw to much....helping the chiefs defense....this may be where peyton`s selfishness hurts the colts....

i wish you all good luck.....

probably a pass for me...

SOMEWHERE AROUND THE S.E.C.
first of all good luck on your pick

now there is no way i could lay 3 points with KC when they have the 27th worse defense in pro football and playing against a great qb in manning.

to me the over is a much safer and more quality play.

good luck mizer
