Game 1 in a play-off series is a tough one. Don't pay any attention to what the umps did during the regular season because they will be working with a new crew. They will decide what strike zone they will use for this series and they will all use it. If they decide to make it a hitters series they will narrow the zone. They will widen it for a pitcher's series. The pitcher's that can handle the narrow zone are the ones that will make it thru the play-offs in the best shape. They might change the zone when they change parks but game 2 will be easier to predict. In the Stl game both pitchers have had their problems with a narrow zone but look unbeatable if given any room at all. If it gets to the 7th with LA even or ahead, they win so I'm hoping for a shoot-out where the better hitting team wins.

Stl -165
o 8'

by the way, both teams will know what zone will be used so they are playing on an even field.

Good luck to us.

Watch playing the over in the next two games. We were lucky enough to get a narrow strike zone in the first game. Williams was just luckier than Perez but then Stl is a better hitting team. Perez gave up 6 runs on 5 hits while Williams gave up 2 on 8 hits. I knew by the end of the first that they were going to have to throw over the plate to get a strike. One or both these next games will be using a wider zone. I think I'll concentrate on the last game and hope my luck holds out thru the rest of this one.

I'm passing on the game but Young is the ump and he is 5-1 under when the line is 8' and I believe there is a very good chance this crew will use a wider strike zone which will make these pitchers look great. Good luck

Good job on the double-dipper.

gsp, when you get a second, please e-mail Jack for my e-mail address and drop me a line. Just a couple of questions. Don't want to tie up the forum.

At your convenience.

Thanks.
