Hofstra -5.5 over Iona ******* strong play
This number is way off just like the VirTech-Johnnie game on saturday.I have it at -10 to -12..Pride had won 8 in a row then ran into UMass and got blown away.But something strange happened in that blowout.Hof out rebounded Mass 61-32 and got 36 offensive bds...in a 97-81 loss.Hof played no defense but to lose and get 36 bds is amazing.Iona has no rebounders and is missing there top player springer who leads in scoring and bds.
Hof has Jenkins an upcoming star at gd.he's avg 19 pts and 5 bds.Lyr Hof beat Iona 81-63 and jenkins had 28 pts and 10 bds.Vines is the other scorer at the gd spot.But Hof has some big rebounders in Johnson,Washington,Szabo and Townes.They are 6'10,6'10,6'9 and 6'7....Iona doesn't have the front line to match up tonite.Iona did play Ohio St tough on saturday in the 1st half but faded in the 2nd.Same tonite.They might play even for awhile but they have no scorers that can be consistent for 40 minutes.Hofstra wins this by 20 with Jenkins having a big game again...Plus Hof has to be upset about the Mass game...strong play...love play..they will play with Pride...
Buffalo +9 over Siena ***
I love the Saints and playing at home will give them a big advantage but Bulls have a couple of players that should keep this game close.Gamble and Pierce are solid and Bulls have a few tall players to challenge Ubiles and co. inside.Bulls can rebound and control the bds.Hasbrouck is tough but think this game is close throughout..
Niagara -2.5 over Bonnies ***
Purple is are quick.Lewis and Nelson on top will challenge Bonnies defense.Benn is amazing and the big boy Egemonge at 6'10 causes big time matchup problems.Bonnies have Martin and Hall who can score but they are a terrible FT team..Purple win one on the road.
