Damon Stoudamire added to his troubles when he was ticketed, along with teammate Rasheed Wallace, for possessing a small amount of marijuana early Friday, according to the AP. Stoudamire and his father were charged with possession in Oregon in May and he is trying to find his way out of Trail Blazers coach Mo Cheeks' doghouse.

Memphis coach Hubie Brown spent yesterday's practice installing new offensive sets that would get Pau Gasol and Drew Gooden the ball in the post, according to the Commercial Appeal. Gasol, in particular, has seen his production drop in Brown's offense.

Jason Williams has a mild ankle sprain, X-rays were negative, according to the Commmercial Appeal. He will sit out tonight and probably tomorrow.

The LA Times reports that the Clippers likely will activate Quentin Richardson for tonight's game, although he will play only limited minutes. He's missed six games with a bruised right knee


Dirk Nowitzki left last night's game with about a minute left and headed to the locker room, according to the Dallas Morning News. "My Achilles is killing me," Nowitzki said.


Vince Carter practiced yesterday for the first time since Nov. 2, according to the Toronto Star. He didn't go all out, but Raptors coach Lenny Wilkins said it's possible Carter could return next week, if not sooner.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Ray Allen spent Tuesday night in a hospital after sustaining a mild concussion during the Bucks' game that night. He was cleared to fully practice yesterday and is expected to play tonight.

Jermaine O'Neal was examined by a doctor yesterday after experiencing chest pains during Wednesday's game, according to the Indianapolis Star. "Nothing's wrong," coach Isiah Thomas said. O'Neal has been cleared to play tonight.


Chauncey Billups likely will remain sidelined tonight due to his sprained ankle, according to the Detroit News. He will probably not return to action until Wednesday.


Yao Ming had his best game as a pro Thursday evening. He ripped off 30 points and grabbed 16 boards in 33 minutes of work. He was 10-of-12 from both the field and charity stripe.


Lakers coach Phil Jackson said that Shaquille O'Neal will be a game-time decision today and will not start even if he plays.
