Watching the ohio highschool state champ game for AAA

These kids are physical specimans

I played in college at the d3 level, and made it to state semifinals my junior year, and the district finals senior year,

And never did I see teams like this. Almost look like college programs.

Kids are getting bigger faster stronger

My question:

How dangerous will this game be in 15 years if athletes continue to get better in spped/height/strenght

I am blown away

Any reason for this?

Sorry, addict, I already made my rant about player safety for the day. Let me just say that everything possible needs to be done to keep football players safe, especially when it comes to their heads.

RG is a fraud.

He preaches player safety and then has 16 Thursday night games a year.

$$$

No one cares.

Shame.

I cannot imagine what we will see in 15 years. It is going to be insane

I don't know if you are talking about rule changes for safety or changes in the players, themselves. There will be continued needed rule changes that I heartily support. If you are referring to the players, then I don't think we will see any changes. I think we have reached the summit for how big, strong and fast players can get through training. They already train year-round. The only way players get more dynamic is if they find new ways to enhance the human body chemically or, God forbid, genetically.

at this point the league is actually leaning more to the safety side..

their lawyers see the law suits coming..

the players assoc. will get behind the safety regs even stronger once somebody sues the league successfully..

the league is doing everything they can to still generate the most revenue while improving player safety.

a slippery slope given that Thurs. games give little time for the body to recover.

2 more playoff games will get the owners the additional revune they desire..

now they WILL MAKE SURE that over the next few years rules are put in to make sure the mega stars of the league stay healthy enuff to bring in every dollar bill they can generate.

never in the history of attended and viewed events has such a cash cow emerge.

the owners will do everything they can to get every dollar from it..

yes Jacksonville..that means you go to California in the very near future.

meant with the athletes

im telling you man I played high school ball at the highest level of competition on this side of Pennsylvania, and small college ball...

the playoff highschool games I watched the other night from ohio on TV, those teams would've beat my highschool team, and my college program going away....the kids were physical specimans....I don't remember any kid being as big as some of those hogs I saw. the one kid was a commit to Ohio St, and ran a 4.4 40 yd dash and was 245lbs.....imagine that fucking running into you

I think this next generation will be even bigger and stronger, and eventually peak out, but I think we see one more huge increase of talent and size...

But that's the thing, that kid you saw is the pinnacle. It's not like 15 years from now 250-lb athletes will be running any faster than that kid. We have basically reached the limit for what the human body can do without chemical or genetic manipulation. Barring some kind of X-Men shit. :)
