FWIW, this is what I've read about Carolina since I am down here in NC.

After their loss to Montreal, the canes had a closed door meeting and a punishing practice afterwards. This team is very predictable, every year they seem to go into a slide in December.

Anyways, in Dec of 2000 the team lost 2-1 to the Islanders, had a grueling practice and meeting, and won 8 of the next 13.

In 2001, after a home loss to the Sabres (4-2) and a punishment practice, they responded with a win against the panthers.

The canes are actually playing decent hockey, getting plenty of scoring chances and have gotten great goalkeeping from Weekes. They just can't seem to put the puck in the net. I think after their meeting and practice tonight is a good angle to play them at good money +145 last I saw. I know a lot of you are on Edmonton, just thought I would throw this out there. The Oilers aren't playing the best hockey as of late either.

The Senators had a closed door meeting etc this year and responded with a win, I can't remember who it was against.

I think this is an angle to consider, just thought I would throw this out there. I hate to play against teams who I think are "due" to win, I think that is one of the worst things to do. With that said, I'll take my chances tonight because Carolina really is playing decent hockey and I think they will respond tonight.

Play: Carolina +145

Good luck
