NFL YTD: 45-39 (+5.89*)
Christmas is Over ? This Card Proves It
Buffalo(-11)(-108) over San Francisco (1*)
- - The surging Bills are doing and believing in those large and small things that find ways to make things happen in a manner that rarely bodes well in this late season spot for a 49ers team that is what it is.
Detroit(-6)(-108) over Chicago (1*)
- - With nothing to show from two excellent efforts, I see Detroit earning some rewards today, including a disparity of big plays that spells the difference.
Jacksonville(-7)(-108) over Houston (1*)
- - In the first matchup between these teams, Jacksonville was off a huge win at Indy while Houston was off a bye, and the game I witnessed I consider as the Jags singularly lethargic outing of the season. Fair enough. Today, Houston arrives off a road romp in Chicago, and Jacksonville has the bit in their teeth for their home closer. 6 of the 8 losses by Houston have been by 7 points or more, and I think Jacksonville under del Rio and Leftwich has the right stuff today to show a gap between these teams that is sufficient to make it 6 of 9.
Washington(-2)(-108) over Dallas (1*)
- - I?m seeing signs that Washington wants it badly enough to get over the hump in spite of themselves.
Seattle(-7)(-108) over Arizona (1*)
- - The set up features a Seattle team that was swamped by a superior Jets team, and an Arizona team that slaughtered a team of embarrassing Lambs. The underwhelming season by Seattle is both funny and sad, but less so than the prospects of Arizona stepping up as a playoff team. Nevertheless, even decent line value doesn?t have me any too excited about backing that phat phuck Holmgren and his sidekick Rhodes.
Yuck!
