For those of you who are tossing money out would like to know how much you really know about spring training. I know a lot.
what is the un written rule of play for spring training for players on team that starts the game?
how do you know who is playing ? you don't trust me you might listen to radio shows and read papers but the line ups are mixed changed and never know who is in till last 4-5 games, then you will see some players playing that should be all at 1 time.
how much work or ab's does a player on 40 man and non r invites have to get or pitches have to be throwen buy a pitcher before players are tagged.
if a player has even a treak in a muscle you will not see them, thats why spring training sites have 5-7 fields.
How many of you have been to at least a full week of spring training to watch not just games but practice? then you will know what i mean.
you might stand a chance by playing every dog and grind out a little money or take teams that are trying to in still wining into the minds of their club but spring training is the most un capable pro sport there is so save your money you might get lucky but that is what it is luck of the draw. there is nothing set till maybe last 5 games you might say you have pitching rotation but i promiose you it will not be the same as what you have there are always changes. teams know who is going to be where for the most part so they are looking at the other players to see where they fit into system aaa and aa and what few spots might be filled by non r invites.
spring traing is about the same as trying to win at viedo poker or slots trust me on this. like i said you might win but it has nothing to do with skills or team info till last 1.5 weeks.
go ahead and waste money but when you get into the 6-9th innings you will see guys that you never even heard of and also get to see what it means to leave a young arm out to dry.
save your money or if you can't do that bet dogs that want to win and get in winning habit but still is not a handicapping sport and i think i have a good grasp on spring training . good luck if you must but just plain flat out gambling because to many changes that can effect out come till last 1.5 weeks. even first few weeks of reg season it's a crap shoot. every one is on a pitch count for at least 2 times to the bump.
just trying to save you some money or give you a hint on a chance at winning slim as it is, spring training is luck clubs could give a shit if they win or not its about getting good solid work in , which does not mean a win or a hitter getting a hit or pitcher not giving up runs it's about getting the work in that the club wants to see and doing a good job at it. A pitcher might be working on a new pitch per coach and team or different release point and things so you could see a pitcher give up 5-6 runs and think it was a bad outting and the coaching staff will think it was good because they are working on things runs and hits mean nothing in spring training. fl is less scoring then az is it because pitchers are better no its because of the elev and humidity and the way the ball carries.
in short save you money or at least don't risk more then what a half of days pay is for you on all games total or you will be bitching.
good luck but don't try to tell me there is a skill i have been there i know there is not.
