Not bad for a 1st episode. Think I'm gonna like the Eric character(the linebacker). Severe badass. Covered the politics involved with starting the star no matter what.

Hell, I love football so much, a linebacker coulda been sittin' there taking a dump and I would have enjoyed it. :D

Curious what others thought.

I thought it was an excellent show. ESPN has screwed up everything they could possibly screw up in the last couple of years up to this point. Maybe we will see a turn-around.

It was ok......ESPN does so much damn publicity before they air a self made movie or show that by the time it actually comes on, you are expecting something incredible! Playmakers was not incredible by any means but it was pretty good. If anyone missed it, dont worry, ESPN will re- air it probably another 10 times before next tuesday. ESPN redeemed themselves a little bit with this show. After the Bear Bryant movie, anything would be better.

Well I was expecting it to be about a 2 and I gave it a strong 6 so I guess you could say it was 3x better than I thought. Still there was way too much melodrama and I agree with what some of the Steelers said about it, it was as if they took the worst parts of football and put all the bad stuff in a show.

ESPN imho is getting to be like MTV, too many damn shows. I dont want reality shows or movies or tv series or talk shows on ESPN. I turn to ESPN to see freaking SPORTS! There are 800 channels on the dish if I want to see this other horseshit I will go there.
