I agree Horns, Ottawa will win this one in 5 or 6 games.
East Conf.
1-Ottawa over 8-NY Island
The way the isles have played lately was like they wanted the Rangers in. Yes the senators have bowed out early in the past, but that was when they were extremly soft. No they aren't as strong as NJ/Phil/Tor but they are over NYI
2NJ over 7Bost Devils don't score many goals but don't give up many either. This will low scoring affair games but in the end Devils win because of Bruins goaltending
Undecided on TB/Wash Kolzig can win the series but so can Khabulin. I'll rout for the Lightning
Undecided Philly/Tor this game looks like a 7 game series and will home ice be deciding factor??
West Conf
1-Dallas over 8Edm Oilers team of last year would have been a better match-up. But them not being in last year will drive them this year but just overmatched here
7Ana over 2 Detroit the redwings will wish they would have not lost sunday to chicago or tied columbus last week. There is the travel issue. But more importantly it is goaltending. Joseph has 91% save and Giguerre is at 92% not big diff here. But Ana has played one goal games all year and are ready for the playoffs. Plus Joseph didn't look very good on Sunday when they needed the win
3Colo over 6Minn being from Nebraska my team has been the Avs since they moved to Colo but when Minn got a team back I rout for them kind of tough when they are in same Division. The Wild have been trying to play playoff hockey the last couple of weeks (until today) the unders have been golden. But they don't match-up here the Avs have too much firepower they could have given the canucks a run by trying to shutdown their #1 line. A Month ago when St Louis was leading their division I was hoping ever night that the Blues and Wild would play cause I think Minn would have won that
4Vanc over 5StLouis If Cloutier is playing good hockey this could be a 4 or 5 game series if Canucks goaltending is shacky this goes 6 or 7 with Vancouver winning
Just my Opinions (usually wrong)
Good-Luck everyone in the playoffs
