Game: Philadelphia Eagles vs. New Orleans Saints Game Time: 1/13/2007 8:00:00 PM Prediction: Philadelphia Eagles Reason: I'm taking the points with PHILADELPHIA. I successfully played on the Saints when they hosted the Eagles back in mid-October. New Orleans won that game 27-24, easily covering as three point underdogs. The Eagles were in a tough 'letdown' spot for that game, as they were coming off a win against T.O. and the Cowboys, and I didn?t feel they deserved to be laying points on the road vs. a Saints team which was 4-1 SU/ATS at the time. While the Saints closed out the season by going 1-2 SU/ATS their last three games, the Eagles are arguably playing better now (six straight wins ? all against decent teams) than they were in October. Yet, despite their excellent recent play, the Eagles find themselves getting a handful of points, rather than laying them. I feel this provides us with excellent value. The Saints were only 3-5 ATS at home this season and just 1-4 ATS when laying points at home. Looking back further shows them at 4-11 ATS the last 15 times they were listed as home favorites. Meanwhile, the Eagles, 3-0 SU/ATS the last three times they were getting points, have thrived when playing with 'revenge.' In fact, they are 4-1 SU/ATS the last five times they were attempting to avenge an earlier loss and a highly profitable 42-22 (65.6%) ATS the last 64 times they were in that situation. The Eagles are also 3-0 ATS the last three times they played a road

Hey Ray:

As a Bengals fan and a famous local handicapper, I feel I should comment on your selections. Although I do not wager as such past events have caused me to enter into contracts with bankruptcy and foreclosure attorneys, I am familiar with both the Ravens and Colts as my beloved men in stripes (pun intended) have played them on the field of honor this season.

Obviously, the Colts can be run upon and they can't do anything to stop it. Lewis will run often. You can throw against the Ravens and Manning is just the guy to do it. Ravens at home are better than the Colts on the road. I also like the Ravens special teams better. Give me the cocky one (Billick) over Dungy. Eddie says lay the points.

The big Ed is having more trouble picking the winner of the C-hags - C-bears game. Since da Bears locked it up in week 4 in the NFC north will they be ready or rusty? QB edge obviously Seattle, running backs I think are equal, due to qb, receivers edge to seattle. defense and special teams edge to bears. coaching slight edge to walrus.

Eddies pick............. Take the points with the hags.

Reason: Cause I hate Intense Operator and he's from Chicago.

Good luck

Eddie

Laying in the weeds makes you rusty...and we all know what a little rust on Grossman gets you. Like they said in Arizona a while back......."They ARE what we thought they were."

"Bears are what we thought they were"

Isnt that genuis of a head coach now unemployed?

Does anyone not think the Bears defense wont show up here?

If the Bears make seattle look bad then what will that really say about the Over hyped Cowpokes.

Like Ravens and Bears

Patriots (except for this year) have shown nthe rest of the NFL how to beat Peyton.
Ravens have the speed to fustrate Manning and he does not like to be put on his BACK.I think ravens make a statement

But .....he was right in his statement.

The Bears are the NFL's worst ever 13-3 football team. If you feel comfortable with Grossman back there slinging the football with all the accuracy of a blind man throwing spitballs from a roller coaster then you go ahead and put your money down.

The ONLY way the Bears win Sunday is if there defense wins it for them......which may very well be the case.
