We'll kick off the playoffs with these selections. I think there is some value in these openers. Going to give the Twins a shot at a big number, because I like the way the kid Duensing has managed his games, and the Twins will be extremely loose coming in to this game - no time to think about what they're up against, and they have won 17 out of 21. A lot of mo-mo at a big price.

Historically, Sabbathia is 13-8 against the Twins, which was based more in the past than present, but still proves the Twins have been able to beat him even when a dominant ace. The Yanks dominated the Twins this season, but have squeeked by several times this season, including three one run games and two that went to extra innings. Loosey-goosey Twins - we'll give it a shot out of the gate, although I'd love to see Morneau in the lineup against the big boys.

1* Twins +275
2* Cardinals -136
1* Rockies +122

Good luck to everyone this playoff season.

Sabathia has also been terrible with Milwaukee and Cleveland in past post seasons.

My concern is Minnesota used so much pitching and energy that they might not have much left in the tank for the opener. Still, tough to be excited about -305

Just returned from the game and this team is a collection of grinders who never quit. If they can find a way to play some small ball and take one of first two in NY, I think they can sweep at home and steal this series -- shocking the world. Gardy will outmanage Giarardi and Twins will win with intangibles. I take +275 now.
