Lol, thanks buddy. Cueto is a mess.

Next 2 games totals are rough for me. I always like to play Lackey overs, but Cards can't hit, and Lackey may perform in a situation like this.

I think I have to play over 2.5 F5 no matter who the F is pitching. I think Kershaw mows the Mets down, but can't trust Degrom to be virtually perfect here.

I'll be at the home opener tonight for the dodgers. Not sure as to who to take or what to do. I might not play the game at all and just enjoy some baseball, beers, and of course their food at the ball park.

I'm not sure as to which Lackey will show up for tonight's game. I think his ERA in the playoffs is 3.08 or some where around there. And Jon Lester's ERA is 2.5. I think it's going to depend on who makes mistakes for this game to go over. I'm predicting a 2-1 cubs win.

Best of luck to you on your plays!

You are a better man than me, Cage. I have this thought every time I go to a game. Every time. Yet, I can't remember the last time I laid off in this situation, lol.

I sort of agree on the Cubs game - I'm tempted on under too, but not going to do it.

I'm having a hard time imagining the Mets winning tonight.

GL and enjoy the game!!

LAAAAAAAATROYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Even though I have the Rangers, I feel bad for Latroy. By all accounts a great guy. Loves the game and wants to pitch as long as he can. Also was in Chicago while he got terrible treatment from the stupid Cubs fans. So sad.

I hear you. I don't know anything about him personally, but I'm sure he's a good guy - and there was maybe no one in the world I would rather see come into the game at that point, lol.

Who do you like tonight, Bombs? Are you on this Cubs/Cards under like everyone else in the world?

Passing this one. Cubs are a massive board gang bang and basically no one who is not a Cards fan "wants" them to win. There is no way that anyone is getting a fair price on the Cubs at this juncture given their level of excitement and media coverage. Lester has not been good all year and they have gone to town on him with the running game, which it somehow took MLB teams nearly a decade to figure out. Cards 3-1 against him and have had a lot of good at bats. I don't really buy this Lester is so great in big games nonsense, the last time he pitched a big game was in the AL WC and he got straight shelled. On flip side, I know Lackey a gamer, but until Cards returning injured players demonstrate that they are in some sort of form, can't get too excited about them.

As for the total, I do not like this under. Cards have put out an offensively stacked lineup and roster. They have Wong batting 8th. When Wong is your 8th hitter, you are in good shape. It's pretty balanced up and down but it depends on what sort of form we see. With the layoff and way they ended the season, I think the layoff actually helps them to get them healthier and a chance to breathe. Cubs are feast or famine at plate but searing hot. Would not surprise me at all if either of these teams went over this number themselves. With that being said, probably goes into extra innings tied 1-1.

I can't figure this series out and feel like I have much better reads on the other matchups. If it is even possible, both sides seem square as hell. My brain says Cubs easy, but that is a big red flag, and I just keep circling back to that trip St. Louis took to Buccos where they showed for the 1000th time that they find ways. They also found a way in Chicago in that pivotal 3rd game where Molina hurt his finger.

Thank you. Appreciate that insight. Agree on a lot, except I do think Lester is going to deal tonight. That being said, you pushed me over the edge into this...

Cubs/Cards Over 6.5 +105 10 units
Cubs/Cards Over 3.5 +130 10 units

Haha, temptation gets to me at certain points and times too. But I'm not sure how everything will play out with the dodgers. They look good, but they don't seem to be that dominant. I wouldn't be surprised if this series goes back and forth till the final game. Even though I'm based out of Los Angeles, I'm a die hard Texas Rangers fan. I'm glad to see them pull through 2-0 so far against Toronto. I just hope they can keep it up.

One other thing here is mlb machine no doubt wants Cubs as they are a straight up cash machine. Even a Cubs fans perspective of the zone in Pitt the other night would have to admit it was slanted. I would expect similar help here.

One other thing I forgot to mention is Maddon has gone with an offensive heavy lineup putting Schwarber in right. Did you see him go after that ball off Piscotty's bat? Yikes.

Meanwhile Cards have injured Holliday who already can't field in left, a guy who can't throw in right, and a guy who has never played first before.

Sets up for some cheap runs. That was one right there. A real RF makes that play

Ended up grabbing Cubs +320 and +1.5 -150 live. Too much value. Cardinals dominating but only 1 run. Like watching football game where you only kick FGs. Have not made Lester pay for being wild in and out of zone. Bad news.
