this is a situational play against pitts.because i think they are in a tough spot .......they are starting a qb (charlie batch) who hasn't thrown a pass in the regular season since 2003..... they are traveling on a short week having played balt. on monday nite.....this is pitts. only non-division game in a five-week span...... pitts. just got through playing their two major division rivals cin. & balt.& have division games against cleve.(sunday nite)& balt. up next.......pitts.is 3-13-1 when laying points on the road in a non-division game........also pitt. pass defense is ranked 18th in pass defense......
under new coordinator bates,g.b.'s defense has shown improvement ranking eighth.....they are ranked 10th in the league vs. the run allowing 101 yards per game at 3.4 yds. per carry....g.b.has been a home dog, with favre at qb, 9 times,going 8-1 ats with 7 su wins.....they are 3-2 ats as a dog this year.....even though favre is past his prime,g.b. always has a shot.....& i see this game being decided be a f.g. either way.....
